Lovely presentation here. Nicely done!! Agree with so much of your choices!! Fused bits should always be put in cupboards if re-wiring or new build. 10mm in double box in portrait the cable will always come loose under tension in those single boxes and wallop we have a fire risk. Like to see your preference for socket finishes as Hager don't do the different finishes. I like the screwless face plates you can snap on when all the decorating and finish work is done. I’ve got to be honest Jordan I never used the neutral connection It doesn’t seem right put in three conductors in such a small terminal. I’m sure it’s fine as it’s been designed that way and obviously the switch Is it isn’t double pole as It only has one neutral terminal. so it doesn’t really matter.

Do Hager make a decorative range - e.g metal plates?

Bizarrely I have no idea why they don’t and I actually done my 18th edition exam at the factory in Telford last year And we all asked at the similar question and they just said that they were coming. Obviously it is my customers decision of what decorative range they use but are usually tend to steer them towards a scolemore Deco range of which I will show later on in the series.

It’s funny you should say that because I had a massive falling out with Electric Center over the Scolmore range because they have thousands of different finishes different coloured ingots They actually have satin chrome and brushed chrome with most people: the same thing they actually have two different products. It was so confusing for them and me. But we got there in the end and I won scolemore installer of the month and in the image is got two different finishes finishes there is brush chrome spur and a satin chrome spur. Completely different looking finishes but they didn’t seem to notice it.

@@ElectricianTV Customer driven i'd say - spark says "oh to replace all sockets in the gaff that will be sir - £120 just for the face plates"... customer says "owww much!!" - sparks says - "screwfix do a budget range that would make it £60 for all the face places" to keep the job and not antagonize customer - customer says "that will do lovely jubly their only to turn on and off." You can't win.... square edge should just be taken off the market bottom of the barrel gear.

I just get some cheap ones from Amazon be careful because there’s two different size I think the ones are use are about 61 mm Well they normally come up as two different sizes just go for the larger ones. You shouldn’t be paying more than a pound per Gromit.
