My father flew the RF-101C Voodoo. We were based at Okinawa with the 15th TRS, Cotton Pickers. The 15th transitioned from the RF-84F Thunderflash, which my father also flew. Dad spoke highly of the “101 wonder”

My father flew the voodoo, he eventually became an FAA check pilot. I remember a model he had that was about a foot. It was on a base with clear plastic rods that slipped inside the exhausts. I had no idea how cool this plane was.

Its a rather bitter-sweet thought to realise 'Sun Run' took place 67 years ago and very few of those crack pilots are likely to still be with us I hope the ones who are get to see this video
