Great racing Paul! Eric is no joke. He is an amazingly fast rider. I have watched him a few times in the BAESK8 Intro2Speed gatherings Maribel and Mario have put together. I have some quadcopter chase video of him staying ahead of a lot of very fast riders on EUCs and Powerscooters.

With the NAMI, the acceleration and the power to the front wheel can be reduced. Idk if that can be done on the Inmotion RS, but trying to go around a turn with the front tire peeling out is sketchy. Really I'd like to see scooters with a more powerful rear motor than front... At least on these more powerful scooters.

Hey one thing I’m curious about is the throttle.. I haven’t seen 1 single thing about the throttle on this thing. If I had to guess they went with a twist throttle like the roadrunner pro.. but you can’t even see in the picture because it kinda looks like it may have a thumb throttle even..

The Roadster is a thumb throttle. It's a vertical one with fairly short throw, so it's a little twitchy in 5th gear. I pinned it for 1/2 a mile today fully tucked, with my head at handlebard height! It's faster than the GTR for sure, but not as fast as we thought. We'll have lots of coverage of the Roadster coming soon, including a full review. -Paul

I think the GTR would have done better on track with traction control turned on, and with better tires. In fact, I'm shocked they were running it in "S" mode. The Kaabo rider lost the front end, saved it, but ended up in the dirt at one point. -Paul

Thanks so much! I think I slowed myself down by tearing my rotator cuff in a practice crash two weeks before the event. It didn't get in the way of my riding, but mentally kept me from taking it to the edge because I was worried of what would happen to my un-healed shoulder if I crashed again. Also this was Eric's 4th time racing here, so he just knew his way around this track so much better than I did. -Paul

But we also need a GT3, endurance, and multi class racing. I hope you know what I mean lol :) I don’t even know how the esc roster was set up, what was the criteria, what is the recruitment process. It’ll be good to have very open barrier to entry for most competitions. We don’t want to make the same mistake as car racing. Yes even though we know that car racing was started by rich aristocrats :)

Emove roadster will smoke the GTR everyday of the week. It is simply a faster escooter made for speed on the road. Just like if you put the slack core 920r up against the roadster, it would smoke the roadster without trying. Scooter technology is going to start moving in leaps and bounds. Here's hoping, battery technology also does as well.

Never press the throttle without setting your curve and power level/checking....the person who test drove it did right you need to then double check or really just set it when you get on it right bud. Maybe he was kind and remembered to re set it maybe he didn't know your settings assume nothing with these scooters and never hate on someone who turns it down when you allow them to ride it. I wish my friends were so conservative there like how do you turn it up before they ever even hit the throttle has me laughing when I dont and 25% is too much

They need to figure out what percentage of throttle curve limiting makes each model down to the same level and make the scooter producers get away from top speed for a few quarters or years and have them focus on just making the scooter better and better at the same power class. Then after we learn more let them get the more power on the track. Fun just more fun is why I suggest this

It's going to be a week or two for the full review, but we'll be dropping several shorts before hand! We just published one today kzbin.infoAENrN5Owc6Q showing the wheels-off-the-ground speed. But there turned out to be an error in the motor magnet setting. The scooter said the wheels were free-spinning up to 193 mph on the work bench (not riding, but just spinning the wheels in the air), but I think it was actually about half of that. -Paul

It’s the fastest thing we’ve ever tested, but we’re trying to figure out why it’s not as fast as the factory thought it would be. I may have to tweak and re-test. -Paul

Store at 50% only charge above 90% when your about to use it. The battery will last a long time only charge what your gonna use and store at nominal as often as possible. Nominal is close enough to 50%

Great question! I thought the GTR was too tall for the track (but great off road and fine for regular riding), I wasn't sure if I could get PMT's for it since it uses different size tires than the RS or the NAMI. Initially, I thought the twist throttle of the RS would be nicer on the track, since I used to race motorcycles, but it turns out that when you're not anchored to your vehicle by your butt, you really depend on the bars to connect to the scooter. Having two fingers dedicated to the twist throttle, means one less finger available for holding on than if it were a thumb or a trigger. I ran NAMI shocks on the RS because they had a higher spring rate and more damping. Looking back, I think I would run the NAMI if I did it again, even though it's 4th fastest in a straight line behind the RS, the King GTR and the Roadster. -Paul

I was hoping a dualtron storm limited or X2 limited or vsett 11+ super 72 in the track.

I really thought about bringing the X Limited. I kind of wish I had. The Vsett 11+ Super would have been a great choice for handling, but is down on raw power (not that power is going to win the race, the two most powerful scooters came in 3rd and 4th). I wish I could spend a day testing them all. -Paul
