More of these night time range rides, they are so relaxing to watch with the crickets in background and the world seems so peaceful with those empty streets 😊 liked the Aaron part too, seems funny and talented

Master Pro king of efficiency. With such a heavy weight its power management is amazing, 100 miles and still above 20% yea. Thank you for sharing with us this interesting ride.

Sherman-L can hold its own with fewer batteries and a smaller wheel. But with the faster acceleration from standstill, the Sherman-L is not sluggish. In this specific test condition, the Master Pro has more range. But in real scenario, during the day, you will have to stop a lot. This will drain the Master Pro batteries a lot more.
@ElectricUnicycles
@ElectricUnicycles 3 ай бұрын
This is actually a "real scenario". I do this ride a lot 🙂 And the video is 15-minutes long out of a 5-hour ride. There was a ton of starting and stopping.

@ElectricUnicycles For you, it is. But not everybody ride hours on end, or at 3 AM. That's not realistic for most people.

@@BunnyslippersEUC I get it. But how many people do 100+ mile rides where they are stopping and starting a lot. This video is about loooong rides and how the Sherman L compares to the Master Pro. For short rides I'm sure the Sherman L is a better option (why I'm buying one)

I do a lot of stopping bc i do food deliverys all day every day so i do 100 miles everyday so master pro would kill me for so many times i stop, sherman L looks like the biggest wheel i can do deliverys confortable with.. i hope it handles like lynx from standstill easy to start and stop... @@ElectricUnicycles

@@ElectricUnicyclesI would love to buy a 6000 watt hour euc that has the agility and stability of the sherman L. i have a lynx i just received and i love it, but i am definitely thinking about a much larger range euc that can go even further, much further than the sherman L. i would also love to see a headlight that tracks the road while the euc is stopping and starting. who will be the first to make a sherman L with 6000 watt hour batteries. that is the euc i want now. i think it can be done.

Great video Marty, and nice to see Aaron collaborating with you on content creation. I have always been interested in van life, its amazing. i would love to have a van with solar on every square inch of the roof, and a battery bank (possibly a tesla electric vehicle battery from ebay or anywhere i could find one with warranty, used, or reconditioned) to meet all energy needs. the thousands of dollars saved in rent or mortgage savings could go towards always buying the latest and greatest electric unicycles, this is quite exciting! i can already see it, with the tall ceiling vans now made, there could be an euc rack where euc’s are parked side by side, along the top or upper ceiling area of one side of the van.

Just imagine having an Amprius battery in a wheel like Sherman L. Their batteries are around 400 Wh/kg and 800 Wh/L. The range would be massive...
@BlackTalon53
@BlackTalon53 2 ай бұрын
I'd be more interested in lighter and slimmer wheels with the same battery size as today. The 3.6kWh battery of my EX20 already gives me more range than I need but holy shit is it heavy, and wide.

Hello Marty! Can you please say if Sherman L is more stable than Lynx, especially while emergency braking? Lynx is 100% giving wobbles at high speed braking. So im considering Sherman L just because of it.

Marty, the Sherman L has the 244 copy on it still, right? I'm sure over longer distances this factors in, even if only a little (since you're pushing it to the range limit this may matter). Is the MasPro on a street tire? If you had more time, it would have been cool to see a street tire vs knobby 100 mile ride haha.

Thanks so much Marty. I decided to order my BMP because of you. :) Question: Does 50S or 50E or 50GB affect range at all?
@ChrisH0Y
@ChrisH0Y 3 ай бұрын
I have a Master Pro V3. I would say range difference between the 3 battery types would be minute for the Master Pro. Quote from Ewheels: "In a machine with a 32s8p/256 cells pack, it arguable whether there is much utility of a high power cell, each parallel works together to yield an enormous amount of power for nearly any conceivable use scenario with a 50E cell. There’s a cross-over point of about six parallels where the additional battery pack power will have diminishing perceptible returns in the ride behaviour & responsiveness." In shorthand, the Master Pro has such a huge battery, that advantages are very small.

If you get a 6k battery, it's time for a trailer hitch. 😀 You can cross literal deserts with that much capacity; cruise right through - if it's hot, then ride at night because there's not gonna be much in your way if you're cruising improved roadways. EDIT: you're going to get better than expected range, too, because I expect a pack upgrade of the next iteration of cells is going to be lighter as well as more powerful so it's *more* than just a watthour to watthour improvement.

Isn’t it very difficult to stand for so many hours? Compared to an electric bike, this minus is too significant for me, while I see compactness as the only plus. putting on all this equipment before the trip is also a minus, and the fact that for this money you can make an electric bike with a range twice as long as a master pro

I sat for 2/3rd's of this ride 🙂 And your comments are from the perspective of someone who has never ridden an EUC. Riding EUC's are a somewhat magical experience that certainly cannot be compared to a bicycle which hasn't changed much in over 100-years. Buy a cheap one and give it a try. You may change your mind 👍

Well Yobaboba, if you took the time and dedication to learn how to ride an electric unicycle you would be eating your words. It is the funnest damn thing you will ever ride in your life. I am an absolute sucker for electric toys and frankly all of them sit, because all I wanna do is ride my EUC!

I had an electric bike, electric scooter ect. EUC is by far the most comfortable ride I've ever experienced. There is truly nothing else like it which is why you see such a cult following for EUCs. Once you experience it there is no going back.

Maybe not if you're buying off of the used market. I'm not an expert, but it seems like if you put 4,800 w hours of battery on a bike, the bike might not be robust enough to handle the weight. Long-Term use is going to show you that maintenance on a bicycle is going to add a lot to the cost.
