I have a Lucid Air Touring and love it. At around freezing, we recently achieved 26 kWh/100 km with an average of 140 km/h on the Autobahn. Four people and luggage in the car. The trip cost me about 8 €/100 km. There's no ICE sedan with 634 hp that can achieve that while offering the comfort and room the Lucid offers. Lucid makes great cars!

How does the build quality seem? I know early on people said they had issues with panels and interior parts. Does it seem on par with other luxury cars? I sold some of their stock early to take profits, but still kept half my shares and the stock is tanking. If their cars are well built, I want to see them succeed since their powertrain is amazing and way ahead of the competition.

@SmartMart1658 With the right price the factory will not be able to keep manufacturing enough Gravity vehicles since demand is going to be very high. The car has a specially designed circuitry allowing fast charging at Superchargers V3 by using rear motor wiring and making it possible to charge a 920 V car fast at 400 V Superchargers V3. It can use a special cable to share electricity to home or other car.

@@robbieb8274 At its peak it hit 470Kw. The charge curve was flat from 10-80% which is the most important and there was no heating up of the charge cable and the battery pack fans only turned on briefly during the entire charging session so no issues with thermal runaway!

The Tesla PW3 can discharge 11.5 kW on demand, so 19.2 kW on demand is pretty strong. The STORAGE in the PW3 is 13.5 kWh, and the Gravity battery has 123 kWh storage.

Love my Lucid, 3 years w/ no problems. Yeah, A genuine 25kUSD EV doesn't make sense. People won't buy a car that gives up enough size, range, and performance to make that car possible. "possible" = profitable to manufacture, sell, and support. Maybe 10 years ago, but not today, not with Western level regulatory compliance, safety, and ability to survive the warranty period.

Car sends DC … also via car to car cable… the 80 amp charger is bidirectional hardware but they still need SW for V2H and maybe a piece of hardware to monitor grid power before they can enable V2H… I’m waiting on that for my air

Incorrect, the Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity are able to output AC power for V2H at 19.2 kw using their Wunderbox power electronics hardware, which is state-of-the-art and highly innovative.

Looking at the financials of LCID, they certainly aren't on a sustainable trajectory to be in business even three years from now. In the first 9 months of 2024, they did less than $600M in sales, accumulated over $2.3B in losses, and their equity on the balance sheet was reduced by almost $2.2B to $2.68B. At current rates, their equity will be negative within a year, and they will have to do some fancy financial engineering to bring in more capital to operate their business.

400 kw needs to be standard. 10 min still isn't as fast as fueling up. It just isn't. And its 10 min for 20 to 80%. Not to 100% like you would have with fueling up. And of course you have to do it more often. 400 KW needs to be standard for widespread adoption, because other solutions like installing sidewalk chargers or whatever for slow charging are just not gonna happen on a scale for widespread adoption.

@@cassius969 also … I’ll note that I drove 5000 miles last summer with the family of 4 including a 13 hour last leg in the less efficient Y… we beat the Google maps estimated time (without accounting for charging/gas stops)… and we all felt we could go much “longer” as we stretched legs and got a coffee / restroom break more frequently… so, to me, the only scenario that is worse is if you don’t have access to an outlet every night - then it becomes questionable… I note that even on 110 outlet overnight will put on 50ish miles of range on Model 3 or Air Pure … that is most people’s daily easily … the Y Performance required 240V over night as less efficient … once you get above 4MpKWH that seems not necessary … my wife’s 3 gets 30-50Miles a day and just plugs into outside 110 outlet … always at 100% every morning … researched doing another 240 and never needed too

None of the Chinese models match Lucid for luxury, driving feel or style. Looks perfect for Nth American market. Likely to expensive for Australian market but would be nice to see it come. Much nicer than any Mercedes, BMW or Cadillac, the real competitors. Again cars are more than specs. Most Chinese vehicles fall down on style (many look the same and ape Tesla too much), driving dynamics and luxury for Western tastes.

@@jewymchoser I bought FSD on my 2017 Tesla... Still doesn't work well without nagging like crazy. FSD is not the panacea Elon pretends it is. I leave mine turned off most of the time.

Too expensive! And no access to the tesla supercharger network, which means your screwed using the unpredictable charging network. Good thing it has 450 miles of range you may need it to find a working charger. Stick with tesla😎

lol - what? Approx 6-7 hours driving at 65-70 MPH (115 KMPH) … I drove my Tesla 7000KM this summer with a family of 4 … better road trip than my BMW X5 … and the lucid range is 50% more … SF to LA without stopping … get a clue
