Electro freeze beater stuck - creative problem solving.

I swear, today I went to assist another tech at a DQ with the same exact problem! He was there yesterday and had to come back with more tools. He brought his slap hammer and pickle fork. We were able to get a small steel pin in a hole towards the front of the beater and put a chain link over it and attached the chain to slap hammer. I held the machine back while he pulled the hammer slide. That didn't work! Opened up the side and tried the pickle fork between where the shaft reduces in size and the speed reducer and still could not get it without damaging anything... He called Stoelting and they advised us to cut the shaft and replace speed reducer. While he was on the phone with them I thought of you. Was like that restaurant repairs guy works on these, wonder if he ever ran into this problem before. Brought up youtube and see this video, uploaded yesterday. Ironic? We didn't try your method but did get a laugh of when you got it out.

I was also worried because we can’t Risk warping the flat face or barrel edges so we can only pull on the shaft itself. BATTERS UP BABY!!

Yeah was a day today…. I post real day time. I had crappy service most of the day so they didn’t finalize till just now. That beater release feels like one of my finest “or worst” moments 😂

On an Electrofreeze? That’s a great question. The beater seats k to a coupler that seats onto the gearbox. The gearbox is definitely square and even so either a coupler has moved or you have some very strange problem with your rear beater seals.
