There are ample of videos about this little guy around but none to few shows it in band environment. So, is this micro amp loud enough onstage by itself? You decide.
Signal flow, lead guitar:
- Sterling SUB AX4 guitar
- KORG AX3000G
- EHX 44Magnum power amp
- 4x12" Laney Klipp cab from the '70s + Celestion Greenback speakers
Rhythm guitar:
- LTD EC100
- Marshall JCM900 SL-X
- Marshall 1x12" Celestion G12T75 cab
The guitar sound comes straight from the cabs. For venues of this size it is not necessary to use the PA at all as the volume can match the drumkit and everything else that runs through the PA system. As you can hear this micro amp is completely on par with the other 50W tube guitar amp in a band environment. That means, for a power amp it is just as functional in the practice. Minus the weight and maintenance. My one has been in operation since 2010, an ample of shows with different bands, not a single hiccup.
Sound recording: ZOOM Q2HD micro cam.
