www.ehx.com This is such a fun, inspiring box from the perfect masters at Electro-Harmonix. The Attack/Decay is a reverse tape simulator and so much more...there's fuzz...there's backwards love, there's ping pong nastiness, polyphonic seasonings...so much. There are all sorts of secondary functions....the manual is fab. FAB!!!

I've been loving mine ever since I got it back in April. The fact that it can generate multiple envelopes solves the problem I've always had with "slow gear" style pedals. I don't even mind the digital artifacts of poly mode I actually like the fact that it sounds like synthesized guitar.

How would the Ehx attack decay be for emulating an ebow to do songs like Heroes, Love Hurts, With or Without You, Since You're Gone? I was looking at the Digitech Freqout too but heard that the note cuts off. I can't justify $100 on an ebow when it only does one thing. I know natural feedback was used on Love Hurts & Heroes but it's not realistic to do at bedroom volume.

Some Attack Delay pedals cut out the signal when you play too many notes using volume swells. Does this pedal keep up with every note?

As the volume of your guitar signal is over the threshold (Sensitivity) the pedal opens a new volume window (envelope). If the pedal miss some of your notes, you increase sensitivity. If the pedal starts unintended envelopes you decrease sensitivity. You always try to found the best sensitivity value for your guitar and playing style. Plus, you must found out how can you help the pedal the triggering. So you must play clean and forget some of your rock and blues guitar elements. You must play more like a keyboard player. Actually quite an interesting challenge! :)

I have two of these. I've gotten some of the most beautiful sounds out of them, followed by total garbage, even when saving the patch. This product, like everything EH makes, is too complicated. IMO.
