"I have this sustaining to the point of about 3 weeks after the tour ends" holy smokes, that got me. Tony is just the best.

I'm glad to see Tony is being cautious and wearing his safety glasses while using the fuzz! Seriously, what a great great player. Everything he plays is very tasteful.

Funny how most "demo's" on youtube include people trying to show off their playing abilities, but when you get a truly great bass player, hey, no need for that, lets just actually demo the product! Awesome. ps. And no slap! :)
@ivanhoe85916 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. One of the true greats. I just found out recently he was asked to join Weather Report at one point in the 80s but was too busy with Peter Gabriel. If only....

I actually did just that. I think he's a great musician and I have several Big Muffs of different types but as he uses it then I had to get one.

I too have used most the various Muffs around and I wasn't going to bother with this one. I own a number and some have minor differences (like the tone off switch) and the Sovtek ones and different vintages have different make components. I can't hear much difference in some. The Muff is a pedal I like a lot and use a lot, whether for guitar or bass or violin even. I have used a seperate mixer from my pedal board for blending (and amp splitting) as it's nice to add some clean. I was also bothered using a Noise gate as didn't want to affect my sound but I do have a few 'noisy' pedals and I only really use analogue so noise is more of a problem than if I used digital. I'd been using use the EH silencer noise gate and found it didn't alter my sound in any detrimental way. Noise gates can take away from the sound but it's that awful electric hum I want rid of. It doesn't require turning up massively. .I saw this video and being a big Tony Levin fan decided if it's what he uses then I think it's worth getting one. I like it a lot and would recommend it to anyone. EH pedals are generally cheap to buy and great quality.
@theochristie48757 жыл бұрын
Hey EHX I wish the crossover section had it's own level knob so it acted as a boost as well a being a filter. the filter as is isn't very dramatic and I haven't really found much use for it. The elements that make this pedal a winner is having blend and noise gate.

@nephilymbass19 жыл бұрын
They have different standards for power, which is why some pedals and amps have optional adapters depending on where you live in the world.

+nephilymbass1 Sure, I know that, but what, are they generating hearable buzz? I don't think so.
