I've had this pedal for a few years now and I've never really explored it much because I found it to be pretty hard to deal with. Of all the videos about this pedal I think you explain it best. Thank you, I've decided to revisit it.

@Nine9 Whitepony Do you have issues with volume? Mine just explodes.
@nine9whitepony526 Жыл бұрын
@@Mgalacticable yeah sorta. There's an internal pot inside the pedal that you can adjust for single or double coil pickups. That seemed to solve that issue

I'm luvin' those sounds you're getting from that thing! Mine just arrived in the mail, and now I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

Thanks for this video! I bought the MicroSynth two years ago this month. I've had some fun with it, but you just showed me how to get the most out of the filter controls.

I've written a piece that turned into a bit of a funk/dance thing with a Buckethead sound. Trying to figure out how to play the lead part on guitar, and I think this will do the business!! I believe Buckethead uses one of these.

I’ve never understood this much about a pedal I’ve never played before. Kudos on a fantastic explanatory pedal video. SUBSCRIBED

I’m actually trying to find a Digitech Synth Wah to use it for its “Filter 1” sound (Type 5 on the pedal). Cannot find one at a good price, but I found one of these for a good deal! Do you think it can mimic that setting on the Synth Wah?
@DanLeggatt2 жыл бұрын
They are very different pedals really. Filter 1 on the Synth wah is more of a ‘humaniser’ filter. More vowel like. You could get something close but it won’t be the same.
@jimslim28312 жыл бұрын
No it’s isn’t the same is it 😂. Thanks for the great reply. My idea of running the Micro Synth behind my distortion (a Fuzzlord FTW120 which is like an Acapulco Gold) has not panned out well; it’s huge but very inconsistent. I’ve bought a Synth Wah from eBay (insert “why not both” meme). Will keep the Micro Synth for those reverse filter space laser sounds tho!

Very nice!!! I’ve had this pedal for about 7 years now. Never really messed with it. I had an original one back in the 80’s. I’m finally sitting down and messing with it. This was a very helpful video. It’s not a very user friendly pedal. You’ve laid out an excellent demo. Cheers my friend. Excellent playing and explanation.

Is it normal that the volume increases with continuous chords? That it doesn't stay the same? Regards.

Hi. I saw this pedal come up on a feed and I was wondering how it sounds and what it does. Am I wrong in saying that this is a super fancy FUZZ Pedal. I hear a lot of fuzz stuff??
@DanLeggatt2 жыл бұрын
To some extent it has fuzz elements. Square wave covers some degree of fuzz. It works similar to an analog synth. Filter bank, pitch shifting and attack.

Differences between this and bass one? I mean which can I use instead of which (want to just get one) people use guitar whammy on bass, will purple one work fine on bass and will green one work on bass? Is there that much difference? I cannot find green vs purple vids anywhere...
@DanLeggatt4 жыл бұрын
Konrad Frączek I have played both but never back to back. I have used this for bass and seems fine. From what I can recall they aren’t night and day different at all.

The difference is in to what frequencies the trigger is adjusted to. The guitar version doesn't trigger well to bass notes, and the bass version does not trigger to higher notes well. The sound of both versions is the same.
