Hey I know you! Lol. Love my speakers. My neighbors hate me 😂. But my one neighbor wants me to DJ for her wedding. 👍. Best investment I have made instead of waisting money on Rockville equipment. Thanks Ben you the best.

These use Lace plate amps. They are in FL. You can buy direct from them and turn any passive speaker or sub into active for a couple hundred bucks. I’ve done 6 so far and work fantastic.

Hello! I am evaluating weather to buy an EV zlx 15 BT or an EV elx 200 15. I would like to know if the elx 200 15 has a better internal cooling system than the zlx, as I´ve heard the zlx tends to rise its temperature somehow and that can cut the sound while perfroming. As for the sound, I´ve seen in video reviews that obviously the elx200 has more power, but what about the sound quality, is it better than the one in the zlx? Last, what about the differences between the zlx 15 BT and the elx 200 12? Can they be compared or shall the comprison be made between the zlx 15 BT and the elx 200 15 to make it a much more fair comparison? I am getting new stuff together to build up a sound equipment to be able to perform live in an acoustic way with a small band of two, three or four people, depending on the occasion. So the sound hast to be as natural as possible.

Hi I'm from South Africa. I been hunting for information and reviews on these elx speakers and to be honest, theres hardly anything on these speakers on KZbin or google. I read the specs like a million times! Finally found a whole lot of reviews gathered by google upon searching for it recently. I read a lot of great reviews. I love what's being said about the elx Finally I got mines by end of November last year... don't know why but an ekx15p and an elx200 12p... obviously to build on. I'll share my honest experience on the elx...maybe something different to any other reviews you have come across

Firstly the elx 200-12p in your case you're looking at the 15inch...so anyways the box can get scratched easily so I bought a cover for mine. The grill and build on these are pretty good, according to the quality in my country, these speakers are high quality here... I love the fact that they have ekx woofers in them. They do cost a lot where I live... l used them in a couple of cultural events, small to medium and the 12inch screams! The sound is so much better than the ev zlx, I used the zlx, they were okay in terms of clean sound out the front, however they don't keep it clean as you get louder, in a function(event) of about 200 people lets say 40 feet in length, the ladies at the back couldn't hear the speaker very well. However the elx200-12p, I sang into it with a lot of bass notes, 2 other members of mine as well forcefully singing (using a lot of pressure from our vocals), (usually amps will touch the limit light when my members sing, zlx will reach the limit and even say clip at the back and as much as it has sparkle and crispness, it doesn't sound very clean; more like grainy...gosh I was not very happy) the elx 200-12p did not clip, did not even go close to clipping or limiting and I was able to increase a lot of volume, people could feel the performance, bass was explosive and overall sound quality was very clean, robust and strong if thats the word to use then yes it sounded strong...like had a hardness to it which I loved.

I have a set of ZLX12P tops, that I've had since they first launched... initially I used them with a ZXA1 sub, which I still use in some venues. I also now have an EKX15SP which I really like for bigger spaces or events where I will be playing more bass heavy music. Hoping to get some more of both the ZLX12P as well as the EKX15SP, but have been debating a more high end pair of 12" tops for once I have more than one EKX sub. Do you think I should skip the ELX200 and get EKX12P tops, to better match the sub, and for a more noticeable improvement over the ZLX? Also, somce the setup I have now isn't matched from one EV series, should I be using the 80, 100, or 120hz crossover point, I have tinkered with this some and just can't settle on which is better. Thanks for all the videos over the years....happy new year!

Running two of the elx200 and the option to connect to Bluetooth is only showing up on one of them. When I go into the menu on the one that won’t connect the option to turn it on isn’t even there. Is there a way to fix this or get around it?

I reached out to my guy at EV and he suggests for you to do a factory reset on the speaker. If that doesn’t work, you can call EV customer service. 800-553-5992 Please let us know if you have any further issues! (Kat)

I have the ELX 200 12P for tops and the 18 inch sub. I feel like the 12 tops could be a little louder in some of my bigger events. Do you think a DBX Driverack would help with that instead of going straight to the speakers from my SX2 board?

BigBlock Entertainment whats the sub like? You feel the amp is half decent?

@@NLFXpro Forgive long reply. Great review. Best video I could find on these. I bought 2 15s and a single EKX-15SP sub for mobile DJ and band mains. 18s too heavy. Have 2 QSC CP12s I'll use for re-enforcement or monitors. Retired, in my 60s. DJed vinyl in 80s/90s. Getting back into it. Learning digital world. Reviews like these are very helpful and much appreciated. Just ordered cables from you.
