Answer of last question 1:17:02 : 1) ZnSO⁴ + Cu -------. × (Not possible ) _ because Cu cannot Displace Zn from ZnSO⁴. So , Here oxidation of Copper is not possible , that is why Copper vessel is not melt and we can keep easily ZnSO4 Solution in Copper vessel OR. 2) Let Assume, Copper is oxidised(Anode Formation) - Cu --- Cu²+ + 2e And Zinc is reduced (Cathode Formation) - Zn²+ +2e --- Zn Now, E . Standard Reduction potential of Anode (Copper) Cell = 0.34V &. E_ Standard Reduction Potential of Zn = -0.76V NOW , E°MF of cell = E° (Cathode_ReductionPotential) - E° (Anode_ReductionPotential) = -0.76V - 0.34 = -1.1 V Here, E°MF of cell is negative , So gibbs free energy will be +ve and hence Process will be Non - Spontaneous !!! So , Our assumption is Wrong & hence we can keep ZnSO4 in Cu vessel .....

guys if u might be having confusion.. how 2V was the emf of cell (33:00) .. it should be 1.6V .. then let me tell you the value of OXIDATION POTENTIAL at anode is actually +0.2 V and rest everythin' is correct. SO THE EMF OF CELL IS 2V

Yes me too i was confused about this how it become 2.0V instead of 1.6V as (SRP= -SOP) and the chemical equation was already (oxidation state) so it need to be converted in positive, and after that by applying the formuala of (Eright -Eleft) it will be ( +1.8 - +0.2)V = (1.6V) Answer

@@dikshachaurasia7942 Diksha Chaurasia Tumne Cathode pe Cu(s) ko liya hoga or Anode pe Zn^(+2) ko isiliye tumhara +1.1V ara hai According to question - ZnSo4 Solution hai jiska mtlb Zn^(+2) (aq.) + 2e - -> Zn(s) {Cathode Reaction} Cu vessel hai jiska mtlb Cu(s) ---> Cu^(+2) + 2e E°cell = E°(Cathode) - E°(Anode) = (-0.76V) - (-0.34V) = (-0.42V) E°cell is negative that means cell wouldn't work and hence we can store ZnSo4 in Cu vessel

@@dikshachaurasia7942 Apke dono questions simple hai 1. E°cell = E°(cathode) - E°(anode) ye formula tbhi true hai jb hum Anode as well as Cathode dono ki Reduction Potential ki values le . 2. ZnSO4 --> Zn^(+2) + SO4^(-2) Ab ZnSO4 hai to ek solution isi wjh se hum isme se Zn^(+2) nikal kr uska reduction kr dete Isse ese bhi smjh skte hai ki Zn^(+2) ka bs reduction ho skta hai oxidation nhi Similarly Cu rod me Cu(s) hoga or uska bhi bs oxidation hi ho skta hai

At 33:00 in the example that sir is giving, the EMF of cell should be 1.6V as opposed to 2V according to the values sir has taken, a slight mistake probably. Thankyou sir for the effort that you have taken!

Zinc is more reactive than copper therefore no reaction takes place thus we can keep znso4 solution in copper vessel

33:00 : confusion solve👇 Hey guys, sir has taken OP =-0.2v and sir has written the 1st formula at 32:25[EMF of cell = Eop(anode)+ ERP(cathode)] if you put the values Eop(anode)=-2v and Erp(cathode)=+1.8v in the first formula that is written by sir at 32:25 then the EMF of cell would come out to be 1.6v but sir has said EMF of cell=2v at 32:00 So, I think sir has taken a wrong arbitrary example of taking OP=-0.2v at 30:20 cuz all the 5 formulas that is written by sir from 32:18 to 35:12 are correct I verified it using the example of Zn(op)=+0.76v and Cu(rp)=+0.34 you can check by yourself by taking some example values from book or Google, none of the formulas are wrong, the MISTAKE is that there should be OP=+0.2v of the arbitrary example. Hope it helped😊

e° of cell= -1.10v, means less tha zero so reaction nhi hoga , so, we can keep cu in znso4 solution.

@@shreyaskalita786 yes, we can keep znso4 solution in cu vessel because there will be no reaction of znso4 with cu as zinc is more reactive than cu .

At 36:07 the the EMF of the cell is 2V but if we use the formula (E cathode - E anode ) it comes out to be 1.6V .
