Bend them into a shape that can capture high band wavelengths, fractal designs like a maple leaf are a good example, and ensure the 2 lead ends don't make electrical contact and are at least a foot deep into the soil, the more self-similar the design the larger range of wavelengths it can capture and the more effective it becomes. 10 gauge wire is recommended as it scales with harmonic ratios, using insulated wire is a good idea to protect the copper from oxidization as long as the grounded ends are exposed, the closer to the root system the better. Avoid using or placing near magnetizable metals such as iron or steel, they will trap the flux within the structure and make it useless.

@@SmallholdingUK Yeah there's a lot of "hoo haa" out there about Electroculture unfortunately, it's just Electrostatic stimulation of the root system, hence the reason treating the practice like Antenna theory helps to get results, E,G high band gain. There's the book "Electroculture" by Justin Christoflea 1920, seems like it might be useful, not read it yet.

@@SmallholdingUK Well there is a guy I watch, Theoria Apophasis, he's covered Electroculture and the effects of Magnetic field exposure on Seeds though he's an extremely controversial figure as his stuff is based on old works that modern science scoffs at, then again Electrocultre isn't supported by mainstream either sooo yeah, I hardly agree with everything he says but he knows his stuff, here are his videos concerning the topic, his vocabulary is pretty large so it might just go over your head too, but who knows maybe you'll find them useful? kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHjWqpeJr7GLiNE&pp=ygUgZWxlY3Ryb2N1bHR1cmUgdGhlb3JpYSBhcG9waGFzaXM%3D kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqOZm6qfq8SlpLc&pp=ygUgZWxlY3Ryb2N1bHR1cmUgdGhlb3JpYSBhcG9waGFzaXM%3D kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3WUaYRratqJj80&pp=ygUgZWxlY3Ryb2N1bHR1cmUgdGhlb3JpYSBhcG9waGFzaXM%3D kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpTRZ5J_asyehM0&pp=ygUgZWxlY3Ryb2N1bHR1cmUgdGhlb3JpYSBhcG9waGFzaXM%3D And these are some of the videos covering magnetic seed exposure: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pafNkqSjg92pfbc&pp=ygUgZWxlY3Ryb2N1bHR1cmUgdGhlb3JpYSBhcG9waGFzaXM%3D kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqGtg6aHqJyWhpY&pp=ygUobWFnbmV0aWMgc2VlZCBleHBvc3VyZSB0aGVvcmlhIGFwb3BoYXNpcw%3D%3D kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZovZpYeIqdOFd7c&pp=ygUobWFnbmV0aWMgc2VlZCBleHBvc3VyZSB0aGVvcmlhIGFwb3BoYXNpcw%3D%3D And if you're really willing to stretch your belief download a copy of "The Pyramid how to build it how to use it" by Les Brown 1978 from the net, give it at least 1 read and what's written in there before jumping to any "Pyramid new age nonsense" thoughts, at the very least it's an interesting read.

That's a beautiful garden you have! I made my electroculture rods almost exactly like yours only they are 7 foot bamboo canes. I put five of them on the south side of my raised beds this Spring and am having SUCH a more productive garden than in recent years! I think there's something to it for sure. 💗

Every DIY video, article, research paper I've read says to use 18, 20, or 22 gauge 99.98+ pure copper. It's thinner and easier to work with and provides the same benefits. Thicker doesn't equate to better. Any real "hard" wood will do, even bamboo garden stakes - just a avoid Poplar woods as they aren't weather friendly. Side tip: if slugs or snails are a problem, purchase COPPER MESH. It comes in rolls, is super soft, and you can cut strips with scissors... Place around plant base (secured with garden fabric stakes); slugs and snails will not cross over copper!

I see people poke fun at any idea they do not believe. Don't talk if you know not! I tried it and I found some excellent results, without any regard to direction of the winding, because I didn't know about that. Anyway, I had no pest-bugs eating leaves or doing damage. the fruit and flower were no larger than prior but quality may have been increased. No bugs, just tiny spiders that kept things tidy.

I have heard that magnetism proceeds in a southwest direction, I would translate as clockwise.
@Sine-gl9ly8 ай бұрын
I was a medical physicist by profession before I retired. Magnetic fields - a general description for a lot of different things - of different types do very definitely have effects on animal and human cells. There is no reason at all why plant cells would not be similarly affected. However, there seem to be very few scientifically-acceptable controlled trials (of the usage of artificially-created, or the amendment of natural magnetic fields) at anything above the cellular level - certainly not of any significant size or duration, or reliably blinded. It's something I've always had an interest in, but my career path took me in very different directions.

No. Think about all electrical wiring, from your home to radios, speakers, etc. Copper is natural conductor - tin, aluminum, etc are not - they are man made metals.
@hadleymanmusic6 ай бұрын
copper wire is just as natural as the other conductors. copper wire is processed like other conduction material

Late reply, but I read that iron based metal like fence posts don't work. It has to be copper or tin and silver. No idea why. I also read that copper or bronze garden tools make the soil better for growing than iron based metal tools. Again, no idea why.
