Man I really miss electro fishing. I worked for the CT DEEP for 8 years. I worked on the diadromous fish program, primarily with Atlantic Salmon. What a cool job that was. And we always saw some giant trout when we electro fished the rivers and streams that we stocked with salmon! The biggest fish being in the Farmington River. Great video on the subject btw.

very cool video...I wish the DNR would do something like this where I live in Upper Michigan...Our DNR kills our lakes and only plants trout around where I live...All the lakes are over populated with little bluegills and perch...Glad I only fish Musky, Pike, Bass and Trout...Our DNR is lite years behind other states especially Minnesota and Wisconsin...

I'm in mn and most of our lakes have a balanced ecosystem, but the bass population is bad and we have a large problem with invasive species.

It’s not exactly for fun but for study like he said he is a biologist.

and they say there is no fish in there.i usually don't comment about these things but I always catch them there when I go...always to keeper size from shore[spinners, cranks, and spoons].caught a 5lb. here in may and I don,t fish here that often[it,s a little unkept and I live in west haven and have many other places to fish.]go here in the evening with a positive attitude and put in your time.[p.s....roostertails and floating rapalas size #5 ...low light time.and walk around the shoreline...work!

I seen a video like this done in NC and it showed like 30 or 40 fish go belly up. And I just saint convinced at all it don't hurt the fish. I am all for research and studies. I do see the fish you pull out survive. But I really don't think you can turn that many belly up and they all just start swimming again. I did notice you guys made sure to only show the ones you were netting. And not as all the ones that you guys were going ohh ahh look at them all. Let me see you all go belly up a then get up and walk off without being pulled out of the electric field. And if it didn't hurt the fish. Then fuck it. I will come up with a boat and generator and and start catching my limits. Then I won't be wasting money on trips that are a loss.

This should be illegal or at least tested on you first!
