I was pleasantly surprised!! I think the gravity fed cyclone works much better for large messes, in contrast to a Shark cyclone being upside down, so those rely on centrifugal force to separate the dust and debris from the airflow!

Oh my god I loved my one of these, was absolutely brilliant even after clearing up after builders with brick dust and plaster dust, it just kept going and didn’t really lose suction, Been after another one for years and years Probably about 20years , if you ever wanna part with this one let me know, I’ll give it a good home.

Old Electrolux cleaners are stellar performers (like this one) but that "cyclone" filter lets it down. Modding a decent Dyson cyclone to this would be cool.

@bizkitsfx I use a few different ones to make sure the carpet is properly clean - Dyson DC17 or DC28 - Dyson Ball Animal UP32 - Hoover Windtunnel self propelled - Shark PowerDetect upright - Dyson DC55 - Vax nano - Dyson V15

@@7mustang2011 I have never owned a Dyson ball animal 3 but I really want one, it looks like a really capable machine in terms of power on both carpet and hard floors and I think I would prefer one over a Shark I love the PowerDetect but it still doesn’t deep clean as well as I’d like, being an XL sized Shark it feels a bit bulky in use, the cord isn’t flexible enough and the hose could do with a hose cuff that’s removable from the handle to make it easier to clean the car with along with a longer hose length to make cleaning stairs easier

I never bought a new filter for mine when I had it and it coped with tons of brick and plaster dust aftwr the builders had finished, it was a fan vacuum and didn’t really lose suction even with all the builders dust
