if you are confuse about at which rod oxidation takes place and on which reduction takes place, you can use this trick👇 AN OX(An for anode and ox for oxidation) Red cat(Red for reduction and cat for cathode) this helped me alot! i hope it would be useful for you too!😊

What is the difference between electrolytic reduction and electrolutic refining?
@MagnetBrainsEducation Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question! In electrolytic reduction, a metals ions are reduced at the cathode by electrons that are transferred from the anode through an external circuit. This process usually takes place in an electrolyte solution. In electrolutic refining, a metal is dissolved in an electrolyte solution and then deposited on the cathode. The impurities are left behind in the solution.

Hi there! Thanks for your question and for watching our educational video. Copper sulphate is used as an electrolyte in electroplating because it is a strong electrolyte that is able to conduct electricity well. Copper sulphate is also cheap and easily available, making it an ideal choice for electroplating. We hope this sheds some light on the question. Thank you for your interest!
