When i was younger i was so impressed by just the fact he could attract metal objects and throw them around, thats cool in itself. But then u realize how much other stuff this implies and its absolutely incredible that the X-men have been able to stop him.

The electromagnetic field is literally the force. It flows through everything, and we can manipulate objects with it. However, the force in Star Wars appears to be more strong since you can literally pick people up with it, meanwhile our electromagnetic field can only pick up metal things if we make it strong enough.

ah yes..., but electro-magnetism as a force operates within each individual. I suspect that the only reason, as an individual, that I cannot lift people and other 'things' with that 'force' is because I have no idea of how to unleash, mobilize and utilize this 'force'. I've seen other humans do some 'strange' things. I think that it is possible.

Not only does the Earth's core create the north and south electromagnetic forces, the electromagnetic force also causes the Earth to rotate.

The north magnetic pole of the Earth's magnetic field is currently in the Antarctic and the south magnetic pole is in the Canadian Arctic and moving towards Russia. The pole of a bar magnet that points North is called the north pole of the magnet. Since opposite poles attract, the pole to which it is attracted must be a south magnetic pole. By convention, the direction of magnetic field lines is from north to south; this is the direction that a magnetic compass points. So the field lines shown in this video should be towards the geographic north (approximately) and not towards the south.

An electric field is generated from a stationary electric charge, a magnetic field is generated from a charge that moves at constant speed, and an electromagnetic wave is generated from a charge that is moving at an acceleration. On the other hand, a gravitational field appears in a stationary mass, and a gravitational wave appears in a mass that accelerates. But why is it said that nothing comes out of a mass that moves at constant speed? Isn't it possible that something unknown comes out of a mass that is linearly moving at constant speed? If it comes out and it is a force in the form of repulsion, dark energy is explained without dark matter. There are so many interstellar objects (planets, asteroids) in linear motion in the universe ...

I believe that there’s much stronger connection between electromagnetism and space than science currently understands, I also believe that this missing relationship between electromagnetism and space is the reason why we know so little about gravity. The Electric Universe Theory needs to be looked at much closer, if it’s even being considered at all by mainstream science, the results that are being produced by those with belief in the Electric Universe Theory are pretty astounding, when actually experiments can be done and reproduced it’s extremely hard to deny the results. I just hope that scientists today can have the courage and foresight to consider all possibilities because science without possibilities isn’t science at all.

Would that be something such as the sun (via its many influences) in the near term, the related nearby moon/geomagnetic influences from other planets; let alone regional (pass-through) influences say from dark matter/dark energy? How much of the earth's atmospheric activity is influenced by the earth's geomagnetic activity (let alone aforementioned external influences)? In between all the external and internal influences on both the core and the atmosphere of the earth; would anyone care to guess how much influence all these factors have the Earth's climate?

I've never been clear on how the Earth generates magnetism from a molten core of iron... Iron loses it's magnetism at 1400F and melts at 2800F. By the time it's molten it's long since lost it's magnetism... unless pressure has something to do with it?

The core is not molten it is solid. & you don't need permanent magnetization of the materials in the earth to generate a magnetic field. The Earth is a giant dynamo that depends on: [1] An electrically conductive fluid medium - the liquid iron SURROUNDING the solid core - known as the outer core [2] Kinetic energy provided by planetary rotation A magnetic field is induced & constantly maintained by the convection of liquid iron in the outer core.

Yeah, Pressure might also play its role. BTW, the video content did not mention thats its only iron. It referred as various metals. And as rightly mentioned by "nightjarflying" below, we all know that all metals are electrically conductive which is also one reason for Earth act as a Geo Dynamo.

It's because of all this that we are here. Our planet is an ideal breeding ground for life. The tilt of the axis, the size versus distance from the sun, our atmosphere, our moon which gives us waves and currents and light at night, the magnetic waves that shield us from harmful radiation, the alignment of planets which protect us from meteor strikes.....it's all so perfect. Planet Earth I am hard for you

thanks to National Geographic, i've figured how 'gravity' works... say, the universe and everything within has 'quantum energy' moving throughout, within, and through - very low, undetectable energy, but it's there, nonetheless - when it moves in unison, we call it 'gravity waves'... a net force into say, the Earth, gives us the feeling of 'attraction' down toward Earth - in our haste, we name it 'gravity'. however, in order for there to be a net force downwards, this energy has to be transformed (in order that there be a net force downward to the Earth) - into other energy forms to balance the total amount of energy in a 'closed system', without it pushing back outward. magnetism has no downward pushing affect. infrared energy may have an outward (upward) pushing affect. so it (quantum energy/gravity) gets converted into infrared (via the compressing of the Earth), and magnetism - which is the missing 'link'. furthermore, quantum synchronicity occurs (i.e. the intersection of matter; electrons, protons, neutrons), allowing for matter to occupy smaller volume - this contributes toward a net-force down, into the Earth. the un-synchronous energy gets expatriated as magnetic and infrared waveforms...whereas the synchronous energy (think quantum entanglement here)...gets retained...as it should be. there you go, folks, something you can't read about in a standard physics text book. and, btw, deforestation (culling of trees) leads to lower oxygen levels. trees make oxygen! - it is called 'photosynthesis'. trees also act as 'carbon sinks'. lower oxygen levels means less water created in the thermosphere. less water created, means drought conditions worsen - or stay the same...so, don't allow deforestation, or plant more trees! condensation is how clouds are formed - the standard theory of water formation...but, you've got to think outside of the box.

From gamma waves to radio waves, these electromagnetic radiation travels at same speed of light from A to B. Wave lengths of gamma rays are hardly an atom, while radio waves are as long as football fields. We can only pick up a small segment of em waves, that we see as light, from the longer red waves to the shorter violets. In this sequence, red orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. Now, the objective here is to explain why the full spectrum of em waves travel at same speed from A to B. And, to extend this explanation to understand why time dilated, relative to our speed. Whats missing is what's now being identified as the wave impulse path. Changes of the em energy trigger the scope of the spectrum frequencies by varying wavelengths. The full spectrum of the em waves, moves at the same speed from A to B. Wave impulses do not travel in a straight line, from A to B, as a particle would. But follow the wave impulse path pattern. Wave patterns of every frequencies differ. The higher the em energy, the shorter the wave length, the longer the wave impulse path. Wave impulses move along the respective wave impulse path, hugging along the waves impulse path pattern. The speed of the wave impulse (not speed of wave) varies proportionately with the em energy generated. Such that gamma rays is highest, while that of radio waves are lowest. Such that the wave impulses of gamma rays move fastest, while that of radio waves, move slowest. The wave impulse of gamma rays, with highest em energy, are moving the fastest, but it has a longer wave impulse path to cover. While, the wave impulse of radio waves with lowest em energy are moving slowest. Then it has the shortest wave impulse path to cover, and reaches point B at same time of the gamma rays. So, the conclusion is, both gamma rays n radio waves, along with the full scope of the em energy spectrum, move at the same speed. The speed of light. I hv perceived a new variable in wave mechanics, ie wave impulse path.
