Seriously, 3 hours in lab and nothing. This guy gives a 2 minute intro, and I can do the whole lab by myself. Teachers are really just paper graders. Why do we even need to go to class? We don't. We only need them to grade our papers. Teachers are a waste of valuable student time. I could be doing homework or working at my job getting paid with that 3 hours wasted in class.

Because you have to remove the electrons from the highest energy level first which is 4s then if needed from the 3d subshell

If you say that you need to remove the electrons from the highest energy level first then it would be from 3d then. Based on the formula of saying which has highest energy (n+l), 4s= 4+0=4, 3d=3+2=5, meaning that 4s would be the lower energy level of the two.

@@stevenong3308 According to Aufbau's Principle, as the electrons filled in 3d orbitals, the energy level of 4s increase to higher than in 3d orbital. That's why the electron should be removed from 4s orbital.
