Your approach to technical explanations and the visuals you devise are far superior to anything on KZbin !! For example - your explanation and demo of phase shift due to inductance is excellent !! Thanks for all you do !!! {:>)

Hello GreatScott! First of all, I really like your videos and I've been learning a lot from you! Seeing this two part video about coils and inductors made me think if it is possible to substitute a transformer burnt coil with an external transformer with the same coil voltage. I'm kinda lost in my thoughts about it, I am wondering how the grounding is done, etc. I wish you could help me with this question. Thank you very much!

I always wanted a Transistor Tester. These devices are magic, a must have for every electrician, cheap, useful, handy. But I live in Iran and we have no way to pay for internet shops. Also none of the international eshops (including Amazon, eBay, etc) ship to Iran. Most of them even block our accounts!

MR Great Scott. I have some large transformer cores like the one in the video. if wound as a inductor. could it be used as a inductor for a low frequency boost converter? for like 24 vdc to 170v DC? if so what current could be obtained from such a coil? and frequency range it could be used? would it be a OK for a boost stage for a inverter? great video. can't wait for the next one.

Hi Scott, thats so much for you video's Great work! I am very new to electronics and initially prefered to stay away from electronics but I am working with hydrogen from water production. I am wondering if you know how to make a high voltage dc (1800v apr. i saw before), 1 amp apr., and pulse width mudulator for frequency, 42.5 khz , from 12V dc or less. Do you know of any controllers available like this for purchase? Or a diagram to attempt to make one? Thanks Take Care

Hey Great, love your videos, you have taught me so much, so I am going to return the favour. When you say the word iron the r is silent, so it's pronounced virtually the same as ion, or maybe less stress on the O, so maybe more like "eye en". Funny the German word is Eisen so if you took the s sound out it would be eien which would be nearly the same as the English pronunciation.
