When he explains the way he "sees" music, I have the exact same logic when it comes to production. Or just music in general. I've heard there was a name for this; a condition really. Does anyone know what it is?

Which part of them looks awful to you? Technically? Teh lighting, the editing? It's a genuine question, I'm not necessarily disagreeing (I have no idea about cinematography).

When he was just out high school he got his photography work noticed by modelling agencies, which probably made him quite well know, therefore he gets gigs, is signed to Hotflush so they provide his gear, then he pays it back through the record sales. I ASSUME.

I play 7 instruments. Made all state and all region in high school on a few of those. that was 20 years ago. I did electro acoustic studies at University of North Texas CEMI program over a decade ago. Music is a form of self expression and should not be measured by words like better or worse. I pretty much guarantee you could not do what well studied electronic musicians do. Im not talking about the kid who got Reason for xmas. The best electronic musicians I know are also classically trained.

Not necessarily the case. No idea about this guy, just clicked on the video randomly, but the scenario of buying good equipment after earning the money from part-time jobs and hard work while simultaneously learning and reading about the craft, is quite a frequent scenario. For many well known photographers, musicians, etc. Of course, that's just one case, there's also the case of having enough money to never have a 'real' job and just work on your art from early on with good gear.
