How to generate electricity from eggplants? Watch and see how you can do it yourself to power some of your daily electronics.
Eggplants pack lots of electrons therefore it is possible to draw some current from them. In this video 3 different eggplants are used to generate 3.3V, 5V and 12V. Output voltage depends on the circumference of a regular eggplant. The necessary formula is given in the video and the ones shown are selected specifically to get 5V and 12V. The striped eggplants supply fixed 3.3V. The measured output voltage may slightly differ from the calculated voltage due to the simplified nature of the formula. Supplied current is in the milliamperes range. The eggplants are successfully demonstrated with STM32 ARM Cortex-M4 and M0 microcontroller development boards and a 12 Volt PC fan.
