Hello Kevin just got mine, stuck power poles on each end. Plan to use it on my battery to rig when I am static mobile. Only problem I had with the module is display was not centred, easily fixed by opening box realigning boards and reassemble. Can't complain so cheap. Thanks Kevin for the reviewing the module. Keep up the recovery

First WELCOME BACK KEVIN! You have been missed. I bought two of what appear to be the exact same device at a PRE-Covid Hamfest in the bone yard. Can't remember who from but they are in a blue Al case with Power Poles and came with an instruction sheet that says "COMcharger" and lists some detailed specs for the device. I have used them for lots of things but most often to keep track of my set of backup batteries that are directly connected to my Yaesu FT-1900 two meter rig in the shack. The batteries are charged via a circuit that acts like an almost perfect diode (very low voltage drop at under 10 amps) which, in turn is supplied by a regular 12v SMPS that I trimmed to about 13.8V. I never thought about checking the accuracy with the split Power Pole lead as you did, but it is good to know. Thanks again for this and ALL your videos. 73, WA4GIM

I'm going to build one of those test cables for the multimeter! Great idea. Enjoyed the review of the inline watt meter. 73, Patrick KF4LMZ

I just recently started to add PowerPoles to everything. That Doodad is a cheap and convenient addition to the toolkit.

I’m sooo happy to see Kevin back I would watch a video of him putting seeds in potting soil. Hope you stay on the road to recovery my friend.

Hello Kevin, sure is good having you back. The inline meter has gone up $2. I'm guessing sales jumped for it so the seller took advantage of that. Lol

I'm not at the "after" point yet. I'm doing ok in the mornings, but by afternoon I'm wiped out. About 45% of what I should be, in month 17. Getting better though. One month at a time.

Yes it’s a very handy gadget at a great price point. I have the “Black and Red” version that I paid 3 times the cost of the FVPdrone! Nice find … thanks for sharing! Good to see you up and around, you look great!

Did you print those black power pole strain reliefs? Or are they for sale some where on the web? Thanks

Cheap and neat device. I wonder how much current it can handle.

It's printed right on the front of it, 0-60V and 0-100 Amp. (obviously the 100 amp would be in short bursts.)

Nice review Kevin. I wouldn't assume that your (all of our) cheap mulitmeters are exactly accurate anyway, so what you were demonstrating is the old "man with two watches"...
@loughkb7 ай бұрын
Back when I bought that multimeter, the first thing I did was compare it to my Fluke. It's accurate. The Fluke is stored. I keep the cheap one out here in the desert dust.

Kevin, where did you get those housings for your power poles? I checked Amazon and eBay and didn’t find anything like them. Imlike the idea of giving you something to grip on.

For many years I had one that measured current in both directions, ideal for monitoring a battery. Now they all seem to be copied of the same design that only measures one way.
