eufy cameras tend to have a sleeve-like enclosure design on many of their products. there was a “teardown “ instructional on how to physically disable the microphone by sliding it out after removing a friction bezel so you can finally reach the connector to unplug it. wyze has a similar enclosure style with a slideout and top seal on their outdoor wireless cameras.

Thanks for the video.........I just set up my Eufy Cam S330 (eufyCam 3) system. I have an older Netgear router and Samsung tablet I dedicated to just the wifi for the Eufy. Once I got everything setup and all firmware/app updates installed I disconnected the lan cable to the dedicated Netgear router for the Eufy, the Red light will come on the Eufy base station indicating it lost connection to the world wide web but the system works just fine capturing events. I do not plan on using cloud storage or remote viewing so the only time I plan to connect the Eufy router back to the internet is for firmware/app updates.

Really helpful video. The battery on our Eufy E40 just died (just two months after the 1 year warranty was up). So, I'll see if I can get into it and replace the battery

On the older eufyCam Solo Pro (model T8131x) non-solar model, just remove the four rear screws (must pull up the bottom corners of the rubber cover to access the two bottom screws) then at the front, pry between the white case and the black bezel (if that's what you want to call it) until they separate. You'll see a black o-ring seal. I exchanged the lens (due to moisture on the inside of the exterior glass) from a parts donor camera. The trickiest part of that is to release the big ribbon cable at the horizontal board end by flipping the black part of the connector up from its rear facing edge. Note that the connector at the other end of the ribbon releases differently. Its black part slides out rather than flipping up. Once you get to the front (vertical) board, release the lens cable plug, remove two screws, then pull the lens assembly straight out. There are alignment pins. If all you do is exchange the lens assembly, once put back together, the unit should be back on line if that was the status when you unplugged the battery.

Hello, thank you so much for your video. Do you think you can do this for the Homebase3? I would like to add external siren to upgrade the sound of the ridiculus alarm. Do you know how we could do that ? Thank you

@@rm-paradiseHe said 13,000 mAh, and those batteries are 3.7 volts - a standard amongst "modern tech"... 3.7 or 5 volts...the latter being less common, with 9, 12, 20, and 40 volts being standards. 12-volt applications, think LED lights. 12 and 20 volts, think LED again and things like misters, or those smelly diffusers/aroma misters/foggers, maybe fans, and handheld vacuums. 40 volts, think lawn and garden: rechargeable mowers, blowers, whackers, and the like. Oh...in that 12-20 volt product range, include 16 volts, and now we are looking at cordless tools, drills... You can easily find batteries, especially when it comes to the 3.7-volt variety. And say you did get one and the device ended up being 5 volts (can't see it being that or anything higher), no harm done since it'd be less. Now if you got a 5-volt battery and the device is rated for 3.7 volts, then you could possibly fry the circuit. I say possibly because there are tolerances when it comes to these types of things, typically 5-10%, leaning more to the lower end to be safe. This is primarily due to the batteries themselves having similar variances in spec, where a labeled 3.7-volt battery, when measured, may have 4.1 volts new and after being freshly charged. So, 3.7volts 13,000mAh In regards to the mAh

Try a firmware update using the app by clicking on the camera and going into General to see if there are any firmware updates. If the firmware is up-to-date, and you tried resetting the camera by holding the button-down for at least 15 20 seconds, the camera is more than likely faulty.

1:21 I had my iPhone X sitting near the sink while I was washing some dishes and accidentally splashed some water into the counter. Three drops of water hit the phone; two on the screen and one drop landed right on the seam the between the bezel and screen right above the front facing camera/Face ID. I didn’t think anything of it because it was, at the very least, supposed to be water resistant, so I kept washing. Afterwards, I picked the phone up to wipe it off and in doing so, pushed on the screen which caused air to bubble up through the drop of water at the top of the phone. I wiped it off but any time I pushed on the screen water would spurt out. I turned the phone off and because I’d just ordered a new battery for it, literally like that night or the night before, I opened the phone up to let it air dry. When I got the screen off, it was obvious the seal in that spot was probably never fully seated because the adhesive seal and the top probably 1/4 of the inside of the phone was covered in dust. I dabbed up as much of the moisture as I could see then left it open to air dry until the new battery showed up a couple of days later. Thankfully, for the most part, the phone was fine afterwards, but Face ID never worked again after that.

I assume this happened within the 1 year warranty? Otherwise it is highly likely Eufy would not have provided a replacement. I had an experience where Eufy did just that. My doorbell camera malfunctioned right after the year mark! For the price of these cameras you’d expect better support and a longer warranty. As of today Eufy has refused to do anything about my situation. Buyers beware!

We have the S 40 Solar Camera our first one had to be replaced in the first few months the replacement we have now is working however we have to bring it into the house every so often and recharge it today it said camera off-line so I took it off the garage and brought it in the house and I was thinking it needed recharged it’s cold and we had a few overcast cloudy days I was thinking that’s probably what it was however I noticed to the right and to the left of the lens where the lights are those compartments are full of water.I think it’s over a year and a half now so we own it Eufy’s not gonna make it right. I guess I’ll have to buy another one we depend on the entire Eufy system around our property and I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to not have to pay a monthly bill.
