This is a really interesting question, and it is something I am wrestling with. As I am sure you are aware, videos take a huge amount of time to make, and it is all about making what people want within a suitable time. I try to provide value and the information people want, but if I go on for too long, not only will it take much more time to make, but viewers also fall away more. That said, I must provide useful videos and this often means going into some depth. I will try to get the balance right. I will certainly bear your comments in mind for the future - thank you. As I mention in the videos, if you need more information, then there is a whole lot more on the website and there are links in the description.
Thank you very much for your comment. It makes such a soften people appreciate videos. Please keep watching.

Interesting. I have a very similar speaker. But I was really hoping to see the battery because that's probably the lowest quality component and could use replacement. Would also have been good to see if there was any comformal coating on the PCBA.

Thanks for your replay and useful feedback. There was no conformal coating not he PCB. I would not expect it on a consumer device. So you can access the PCB quite easily. Hmmmm . . as for the battery it is just a tubular battery that was glued to the back panel. Very easy to replace if you could get the right one. As every design will be slightly different, I would suggest that you open yours up to see what it has. The key thing I found was to take the speaker grill off and then remove all the screws to allow tthe speaker panel to be removed. Then you can see what is in there. Be a little careful to ensure none of the wires break. I hope that was helpful.

@@ElectronicsNotes Hard to be sure if it was a cylindrical battery from the video. If it was a standard 18650 lithium ion then it could be hacked with an easy to find replacement. I suspect that the cheap manufactures use low quality or salvaged batteries with depleted charge cycles and capacity. Am curious of the battery type, capacity and any indication of built in battery management/protection circuitry. Thanks for the teardown and your response!

@@davidneufeld26 it is quite possible it is a standard size. It is quite likely to be low quality but I would imagine it would not salvaged because they could not get the continuity of supply,

@@ElectronicsNotes Would not surprise me in the least if there was an operation that retrieved parts from returned, stolen, unsold, discontinued, or quality-failed items in Shenzhen City.

Possibly turn but on and off and try reconnecting. Have you also tried another music source to see if that works. Try to isolate the issue by eliminating various elements.
