That port is much better than other Lenovo USB-C ports. I have seen some Lenovo ports with through hole pins, which are real troublesome. That only is purely surface mounted, much easier to work with.

Better or not, i just think the USB-C for main/only laptop charging is a very bad decision. I wonder how many laptop will end up scrapped because the USB-C charge port is wrecked.

@@Doman2000I agree, they should have created an universal port for laptops, but not USB-C. Now all laptops in the EU must use USB-C for charging.

Thanks to your videos I'm hoping this year I will (attempt) to repair more things than ever! As well as 2 monitors I've also got 2 Casio Keyboards on my workbench to repair! Just waiting for parts to be delivered and then the children can start learning to play the keyboard again (assuming my repairs are successful that is)...

15 years ago a customer came to me with 40 pin HDD with 4 pins missing and he want to make 4 pins I fond the 4 pins ground, i told hem that the pins will not fix the HDD but he asked me to make 4 pins I did the job and took the money he asked does th HDD is ok I said i tested it but not working and i kept the money

Yes the plastic piece moving is not ideal. I could see a little hot glue touching the plastic being helpful
