Lecture No 2:
Mechanism of Electrophillic Substitution Reaction of Aliphatic Compounds
The Mechanism of Electrophillic Substitution Reaction of Aliphatic Compounds involve the E- Substitution of Enol isomer of ketone. The ketones generally exhibit "keto enol Tautomerism" .
Enols has more reactive C=C bond just like Alkenes.
This property make it a strong Nucleophile. Which can Attack Electrophile and attach it.
So ,
Electrophillic use:
✅Nitronium ion (NO2+)
Sulphonic Group (OSO2H+)
Chloro group (Cl+)
