The first mystery bracket goes from the radiator support panel to the grill. The weird little tongue holds the bonnet release cable. The other chunky z brackets are for the Ute bumperettes.

Hi Andrew, the 3 mistry Z brackets go under the head lights and support the guards, 1 a side. On the radiator panel, near the bottom , the are holes with captive nuts and an embossed ridge to help with correct placement.

Hi Ben. It isn’t all that hard when you get into it. In fact, it’s good fun. The baby powder is to put on my hands so I can get the rubber gloves to slip on easily.:-)

Great work! If ya take the ball joint rubbers in to your local parts shop they can match them up. I use a certain part number they fit all my fords, Toyotas ,Mazdas so I’m guessing they are all around the same size anyway.

Thanks for that Flynn. Great idea. My ball joint rubbers are in average condition. It would be a good idea to replace them. :-)

The z bracket, I think, goes from the inner side of the rail ( small bolt hole ) and the large hole has a bush in it to hold the rod from the auto shifter Then another rod goes up to column linkage Hope this helps

Merry Christmas mate…great vid as usual…thanks for sharing your zinc plating adventures, I might have to look into this as I’ve often wondered how well those kits really work (I’m definitely not going to send all my stuff to be plated by someone else as that seems like a nightmare lol 😝 )…I like the idea of being able to plate my parts one bag at a time and then returning them to the same bag and just getting a production line going 😉…if you’re happy with the results then I’m sure I would be 👍.What kit did you use…link etc? Love your work…cheers 🍻
