the answer at 31:46 is -y because in question you said q0=-q/2 so the net force is along -y direction and displacement is in +y direction or vice versa. this is from JEE main 2013 . In original question q0=q/2 so y is correct but in your question as q0=-q/2 answer is -y

No 'rho ' is constant there .. because rho = charge/vol ....if r changes vol changes also charge but ratio b/n them always constant. So happily u can take rho outside of the integral .

In the second question, how do we know that the charge density itself isn't a function of r. Also the application of Gauss' Law is done wrongly here as that would work only if the distance between two adjacent equipotential surfaces is dr(infinitesimally small) and the question doesn't mention anything of that sort.
