I had the same thing happen to me, a few years ago someone took the volcano rock and flew a bunch of trucks full of christmas goods. Not long after I would find out how to use exploits and cheats and use them to my advantage and gain all the items back and more. I would not use my cheats against other players. Now I still play the game but not as much as I used to, I don't cheat anymore though.

I won’t lie, I have duped items in the past with injection based exploits, the main reason I did was I wasn’t playing the game when a lot of items were released so I wanted to have them and hav emote than one, I do think some exploits mainly the base dupe exploits do go to far and cause too much server lag. Also the people who do it to mess with other people are annoying. I would be ok with a newer game with an updated script even if it meant all my save data was lost. I think that would be the best route for the game. Because even now trying to play the game completely legit is hard because someone could join the server your in and just give you 20 millions dollars.

I was thinking the same with you tbh...money, how getting free money can be bad? but when you have money, you are being able to buy everything, not needing to grind and game just becomes boring. I have a account where a hacker gave me 20m and a lot of end time + many axes but I open another save and start from 0 because that's how you can have fun in this game, by earning your own things.

@louis peterson ye you can do that but for some reason Im having wifi issue with this game, it kicks me every hour. Im just back from grinding golden woods for 1 hour 22 minutes (yes I actually check time for that) and all of those efforts are wasted because for some reason, even how I have 12 ms with ethernet cable, game freezes. I can't pick up anything, sit to cars, chop or chat and yet game not shows a message about how Im disconnected. This happened a lot of time and it makes me tired.

As someone who holds a remarkable face in the exploit development side of lt2 you have explained alot of this extremely well and all tho there is several hundred exploits missed in this video the work was outstanding and the research has been done. I will say this as far tho. No I don't develop these exploits anymore. And I have no intention on making exploits that can do what was possible. No my exploits where never made public and where all privite use. But alot of the exploits made are public/Patched now due to me either saying how they work or by telling defo how to patch the specific exploit.

The creators of Woodmill Inc learned from their mistake and released a brand new game called Oaklands. Its still in alpha but updates are frequent and the game is pretty fun!

last year or this year he published a massive exploiting patch which still has some gui's (bark, azure) dead. bark has no more duping, basedrop, box sorting and other stuff and azure is most likely discontinued because of it. it was right before the release of v3. and that bloxburg build mode was amazing, lol. you were able to rotate and tilt items however you wanted and placing items in general was just alot better. however there are now some new gui's allowing maxland dupe (duping your WHOLE base and allowing other people to load onto it and get your base), center dupe and box sorter.

theres a weld bug that defaultio probably wont fix because it doesnt cause anyharm and isnt a weird thing where it dupes, if you go into build mode while driving a car you can select the building item and hover over the car with it, then theres a chance if you use r or t it will rotate the car. (really useful if your car flips)

Hear me out- Defaultio creates an OFFICIAL Lumber Tycoon 3. This will update the game to modern standards, and include a full rewrite with an extensive anti-cheat developed into the game. Of course, this would take a very, very long time to develop, and would be very difficult, but I think a lot of people would be willing to wait. The new LT3 includes loads of new woods, blueprints, maybe even axes, and still includes the feature we know in love in LT2, such as door bridges. This would cause a large influx of new and old players to come back to the game, and begin playing for the first time. Now these new players will have access to all of the old items that were available back in 2016 and whatnot, so nobody feels left out, nor has the incentive to start exploiting or dupe. This can also buy defaultio some time to look at flaws and develop a full functioning, no fail anti-cheat. I may be wrong, and downplaying the work that goes into lumber tycoon, but I just think that would be cool, and nice to have. Please do not take any of this to heart, or send hate, just a thought that will probably never happen.

Ive never been duping using injection based exploits, but ive used really old dupe glich you havent mentioned. im sure only a few people will know what im talking about :) Using bps to dupe.

So here is a story... When I was getting something from that shed shop by the other side with the bridge and then when I came back I saw a bacon spinning.. I have no one blacklisted but then my items and candy got flunged and never to be seen again but some of the candy remained in my base... I was so devastated I quitter until today... Some of the exploiters are very mean, when it comes to get wood easily without driving yourself from one place to another (Teleportation Script), it makes some YT's more popular (only about LT2), but the script itself contains some viruses that makes their PC acting weird. Also about the Tp Script, one of the Exploiters that is a Filipino Exploiter Tp's me to the Blue Glow Wood, unfortunately AFTER I've been tp to Blue Glow Wood, they just left me there with their word saying "Good luck", it means your own your own on escaping the Underground Maze which is VERY Dark. So I Block Them and report them as well for leaving me there for good, luckily I didn't reset, because I have my axes in my Inventory.

I think the only exploit for lumber that is not harmful at all is btools, because most of only the exploiter can see what he did with the btools its pretty rare to see a btools script that actually effects the server for everyone

Lumber is far from dead, It is not what it use to be and is crawling with exploiters but there is still a solid player base who care about the game, as im writing this comment at 1 am there are 3k+ people playing right now.

@@Jase_0 I'm willing to bet over half of those people are exploiters that clearly don't care for the economy of the game, but that's not what I meant by dead. I'm talking about updates and what not, Josh just doesn't care for the game anymore. We haven't gotten any major updates in the past 4 years, and we've only had 1 hint at an update which could just mean nothing. Yeah it still has a decent fanbase but that doesn't matter if the game isn't cared for anymore. (not trying to argue lol, just stating my opinion)
