The pain may be related to the gums over and surrounding the last tooth, which is usually inflamed as this wisdom tooth tries to erupt. Another common reason for wisdom tooth pain is the referred pain from the tooth in front of the last tooth, that is the second last tooth, where there is a deep cavity.
Wisdom teeth pain symptoms may vary from light pain or dull pain during biting or chewing food to severe swelling around gums and limited mouth opening with referred pain to ears and neck. in severe cases where there is actually swelling over the face, fever, or neck immediate antibiotic therapy is advised alone with other medications.
Usually, the only treatment sometimes works if someone is looking for wisdom tooth pain home remedy is to gargle with warm saline water or some suitable mouthwash to decrease the number of bacteria and reduce the inflammation of gums surrounding the wisdom tooth.

There shouldn't be any pain after 10-14 days. Sometimes after surgery there is delayed healing of wound and food traps inside the empty space of extracted tooth. This causes pain and infection. You better get it checked by same dentist. If there is any food traps inside, simple solution is to wash out by irrigating. It's a common problem with a simple solution.
