My late husband and I stayed in a Royal Suite for our 25th Anniversary. It, and the tub out on the veranda, was nothing short of amazing! We were able to have our group come to our suite to watch a big football game, and our butler set us up with lots of snacks! #Memoriesofalifetime 💞

had the Royal Suite on Mariner of the Seas 1620 I believe. It was amazing. The Owners Suites have nothing close on it. I have had the Owners Suite on this This ship and was still more than enough space. What I didn't like was the swivel TV setup. I sometimes bring a hard drive with movies for maybe a movie night in... and the way the TV is mounted I could not get to anything to have access to anything on the TV but the limited options from the ship.

Great room. We have been blessed to have stayed in many room categories from interior to 4 bedroom presidents suite, on freedom. They def will spoil you. Lol. That 4 bedroom suite was a once in a life time deal that I’m sure we will never get lucky again. But at least we got to experience it once.thanks for the review

a 4 bedroom suite is certainly an experience of a lifetime! I honestly didn't know there was a 4 bedroom suite on the ship! I am going to have to go knock on that door next cruise and ask for a tour! It should almost be int's own excursion!

@@TheWeekendCruiser haha. Yes indeed. It’s on the back of the ship. I believe it was deck 6 or possibly 7. We got it as a last minute booking. About 3 weeks before sailing. And the price was extremely discounted. That’s why I know it will never happen again. But I do believe it was meant to be. Something we will always remember.

We stayed in the Royal suite on Freedom out of San Juan several years ago and had a couple of really nice cocktail parties and dinners with our traveling friends.We also enjoyed the jetted bathtub and the party shower with multiple spray heads.BTW the closet was fantastic with lighting that turned on when you walked in.All the curtains were on buttons that would automatically open and close.We also enjoyed having the player piano and hot tub on the balcony which also had a nice sized table and chairs that sat quite a few people.I also liked having the full seperate powder room off of the entry to the suite so when we entertained guests they wouldn't have to use our bedroom bathroom when needed.

@@TheWeekendCruiser Well I think we just got lucky with that one that time.We gamble on all our cruises and are Diamond Plus and half way to Pinicle and always go through Casino Royales private direct telephone booking number and have gotten over the years to know several of the call takers and that time on a whim we asked Melody in the Oregon office how much the Royal Suite would cost as an upgrade from our Grand Suite.She put us on a five minute hold came back and said it would be another $1,500.00.I thought she was kidding but she was serious so we booked it on the spot.It was out of San Juan at that time so maybe because the ship wasn't full we got lucky.To be honest it was nice but I'm complete happy with a Junior,Grand,or Owners suite.I took a lot of pictures of it.It worked well because on that particular cruise we had 18 friends and had a few gatherings and dinner parties.But usually we don't cruise with that many people which was rare.We go out of Galveston a lot and recently on the Navigator and also Fort Lauderdale.We live in Las Vegas so it's easier to go out of Galveston and LA.I started out back in the 80's on Song Of Norway and our close friends started on Nordic Prince.If you like my email address is [e-mail] Our next cruise will be Feb.27th on the Allure out of FL we are meeting friends who are doing back to backs and live in Florida.Then May back to backs on Navigator and Sept. and Dec.out of Galveston.

haha, yes, they could not be more different experiences! Cruise ships are more and more intentionally doing this and having the "ship within a ship" concept.

Here's a few of the amenities grand suites and above get on this class of ship: a shorter suite line to queue in for check in, free fruit plate and waters on check in day, bathrobes, different/better mattresses and sheets than standard rooms, free room service (and a suite concierge to pick it up for you and set your table if you want). There are some other minor things but I forget.

Ok, the Owners Suite is definitely nicer than the Grand Suite on your last video. To be ho est, though, compared to other cruise lines, the decor is still a bit dated. It’s rather blah IMO.

You know, you are probably not wrong there! Especially, for the caliber of room. Even on other Royal Ships, I am on the Brilliance of the Seas at the moment, the Junior Suite stateroom is much nicer. I think I even say on the room tour of this cabin that I need to stop going to other ships because I am learning the staterooms on Freedom have not been re-done in a while.
