​@@Jason5818UI Elektra actually has a bunch of powers in the comics post-resurrection, so she can go toe to toe with many street level heroes as a result (also she's a marvel "master martial artist" meaning she has a bunch of hax like DD and IF). But largely it's for the same reasons Danny Rand can keep up, martial arts in Marvel makes you superhuman, Elektra has other powers on top but obviously not the Iron Fist itself.

Has had a lot more experience and extensive training she is quick to adapt to improvise and more versatile and likely to use anything as a weapon with expertise. Elektra prefers using her sai's or swordplay. Widow is more of a freestyler in hand to hand combat no holds barred while Elektra resorts to certain traditional styles or forms she learned and revels in fighting. Both are skilled assassins who use stealth and surprise can kill an opponent many ways. Hard to judge. I'm going to send a memo to SUPERHERO BEATDOWN see if they'll take this one up.

#SaveDaredevil Marvel's way of making series and movies may need to be rethought. People watch series for different reasons, story, fight scenes ... it is not up to anyone to decide which reason has the greatest relevance. The series is one of the best adapted, but when you see the actor being replaced by a stuntman all the time in the fights you lose the immersion. Stuntmen obviously must substitute in risky scenes. Many scenes of Elektra the actress does not even appear, it is very noticeable because the stuntwoman has dark skin and is muscular. The actress knows how to fight, it makes no sense to see the fight for the fight and not her performance. These scenes do not have the verisimilitude necessary to maintain the "pact" with the viewer.

She didn't really do anything special with the sai. She has good physicality, but her use of the sai was an afterthought. It could've been any stake or knife and her fights would look the same. Jennifer Garner was at least very comfortable with the sai and knew how to sell it -- just too bad Garner was unfortunate enough to play the character during Marvel movie's dark times.

@@hireoiheroes5018 Well, the fight choreographies in the Netflix show also felt forced and cringe at times. Watch a compilation of her fight scenes; her moves look the exact, same every 2 seconds. The sai twirling may have been unnecessary (and it IS unnecessary, even in the real world), but the point is it shows she was comfortable wielding the sais...I can't say the same thing about Elodie Yung and the sai, because she never looked comfortable in them.

@@zhaquiri to be honest she didn’t even used her sai that much.But she did some things with those blades in The Defenders.In her final fight with Daredevil and Iron Fist she was more comfortable with it.And also about the fight choreographies in the shows,they were a bit more realistic than what Jennifer and Ben did in the movie.They were just jumping and you could have clearly see that it was use wires.

Does the way of doing the fight scenes please a sufficient number of fans? What stopped me from watching the tv show was losing my immersion every time I saw Elektra being replaced by a double stunt, they would use the skills of the actress and make scenes like the Matrix and Atomic Blonde to be fun, if not to see the fight for the fight, not to mention that it is very crude to see her get more muscular between frames.

I hate seeing scenes done by stunt doubles and I don't think anyone else does, even if it's for a small cut to a very specific skill or to do the entire fight. Even when you can't see the stunt double's face, it's very obvious when the actress is replaced, and you automatically notice the cut to the stunt double in a predictable way, it's very irritating every time this happens, because the audience who sees how much that actress is able to make the moves. It's not believable that that person would be capable of fighting like that, you end up losing connection with what's happening on the screen, you don't keep the pact with the viewer. If the actress doesn't know how to do a jumping kick or acrobatics, then leave that out of the choreography, do something simpler and more executable, like Charlize Theron or change the actress.
