@gleacesjuvilian3147 жыл бұрын
If you are trying to insert a footage and not a 3d object, then, Camera track the footage and then select the plane(tracked points) in which you need to place the footage, then just right click the plane click on create a camera and null. Now import the footage to the timeline and parent it to null.

@LongLiveMikey10 жыл бұрын
Yes and no, V2 uses whats called the physical shader, which will light your object based on the environment map. V1 won't do that. but it will use the environment map for the reflections, you would just have to add in lights to try to match.

Another great tutorial as always :D THX :D Hopefully you will be able to answer me this question :D I am sure you have seen the video made by Andrew Kramer where he demonstrates the new features of Element 2.2 In this video he has a futuristic door opening on the ground.... Well I was able to recreate that door by looking at that video, now hopefully you can tell me how to put that 3D model of that door inside of the ground of my live action footage....... I want to make it look like the door is opening up the road in my street, I am guessing I need to start with 3D tracking that scene and then how do I put the 3D door INSIDE the ground.......? :D

Hi Mikey, Great tutorial. However,I need some help.I did exactly the same steps you did,but my object is moving in the scene like 1% to 2% error (trembling).Is not staying fit to the ground.Can you give me some hints? Tks
@LongLiveMikey9 жыл бұрын
Codrut Bolborojan sounds like a tracking issue, try adjusting some of the settings (not sure which ones) or delete track markers that aren't good ones. Maybe pre comp the footage, then add effects to it to increase contrast and sharpen. then track that pre comp.
@codrutbolborojan27159 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot,it really helped me.I have added sharpen and curves and get some additional tracking points. I really had a problematic area (light variation and so on).What do you think of adding some points in the scene (for tracking) and removing in post? Wish you well.Thanks again.

Tried to mess up with the camera angle but won't work. Can anybody point me to the right direction?

Thanks for the tutorial. Which part of this we can't achieve with e3d v1?
@LongLiveMikey10 жыл бұрын
V1 doesn't have the physical shader. So while the reflections will show up with the environment map it won't light it and you'll need to add your own lights to match the scene.
@zdf100010 жыл бұрын
***** So in v2, that lighting by environment map thing happens automatically? What if we only need the reflections and want to light the scene manually?

Hi Mikey, thank you for all the amazing tutorials! I've been waiting for exactly this one from the first idea of IBL in E3d, This is just great! I was always wondering if I should take the environment map from the place that I'm shooting the video, or from the spot the object will be placed at? Also, I guessed that it had to be an HDR image to light up the scene properly? Thank you again.
@LongLiveMikey10 жыл бұрын

Hey Mikey, great tutorial as always. Love your stuff. I have a challenge/question for you: Do you think it would be possible to track a MOVING object, in a MOVING scene, and then replace it with a 3D object using Element 3D? For instance, have a moving shot of a man holding something like a shield made out of plywood or something, and have him wave it around, and then replace the plywood shield with the 3D object? I've been exploring this idea, but I can't seem to figure it out.
@KrisSasse9 жыл бұрын
+Adam Montgomery I was wondering the same thing. I know it can be done. I am interested in how they track clothes onto green screen suits with track points like they did in the Alice in Wonderland movie. Same concept though, tracking a moving camera and a moving object to replace in the same scene. I can't find anything on it though.
