Those logs hanging into the water make for a very tempting course!

It does and it’s crossed my mind (bridges from tree to tree), but, it’s really deep right there. Anyone goes off, that truck is gone. Tempting but risky. Thanks so much for watching!!

I know this is an old video, but I just discovered it. Your course is pretty amazing. I too have an Ecto. I did most of the same mods, 2300 FOC, Treal wheels, better tires, etc. One mod I did is use the Sendero rear mount inverted on the front. It raised up the front, allowing for a better approach angle. I am also planning on getting the high clearance links.
@NEO-RC10 ай бұрын
That’s really good to know, I’ll have to look into that Sendero rear mount inverter. Who makes that? I love the Ecto, it’s literally the best truck I have. I’ve done a little more on the course and planning on doing a lot more when the weather warms up. Thanks so much for watching and the info! Definitely gonna look into that rear mount inverter.

great video man! i am contemplating getting this one or the zuul. still cant decide
@NEO-RC Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I was the same, almost bought the zuul but ended up getting the Ecto. I “believe” they are the same underneath, just a different body. I may be wrong though.

Those wheels probably have a higher offset than your previous wheels. And that brings the wheel closer to the center line of the truck. I had something similar happen expect my wear happened on a brand new set of tires and foams. So that was $60 down the drain. Actually $75 because I had to purchase wider hubs. Or you file down those steering track arms until you have clearance. Either way, nice truck!!!!

Yeah I have some 7&8mm hex nuts on the way to push them out a little. Just didn’t notice until it had already ground the rims a little. Live and learn 😂

This is an older video and I have a different, but similar rig, the Zuul. My Zuul has an adjustable panhard mount, that allows you to loosen the screws and slide it up a few millimeters to fix some issues with the panhard bar hitting the pumpkin. Since the Ecto came out before the Zuul I was wondering if this was something added to the Zuul that wasn't on the Ecto originally? Either way, hope the high link panhard bar worked out!
@NEO-RC8 ай бұрын
When I put on the rock pirates front shock towers it raised the pan hard mount location and I had to add a spacer to drop it down a little but with the high clearance link that helped a bunch too. The configuration I have it set at now does really good. I might have to look at that adjustable pan hard mount for the zuul and see if it might fit the ecto. They are very similar but having that adjustability would be really nice. Thanks for the info and thanks so much for watching!!

the body posts aligned with perfectly body holes with the RP shock towers?
@NEO-RC Жыл бұрын
No I had to make new holes. The rock pirates shock mounts pushed the posts back. The black stickers on the hood cover the factory post holes

Gonna have to make your upper links longer and get a better angle on your drive shaft and fill in the driveshaft with a little filler inside to keep your driveshaft from going one way or another
@NEO-RC Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Good to know! I did high clearance links but I’ll definitely look at the drive line angles and yeah a filler in each end would help 👍

Metal shavings caused by the knuckles rubbing the rim?? Just thought if it watched the video twice,
@NEO-RC10 ай бұрын
Yes sir, the beadlock wheels didn’t have enough offset to clear the knuckles. It really didn’t do too much damage. Just wore a little grove. Got some 8mm wheel hex and all good.

the ecto is my fav crawler iv ever had how do u like the shock towers ? also did u solve the panhard hitting pumpkin and if so do u have link for the high clearance bar
@NEO-RC7 ай бұрын
The Ecto is hands down my favorite crawler. The shock towers are ok, the upper panhard mount is on the shock tower and needs to more forward so the panhard bar would clear the axle pumpkin. They have good shock mounting options and better than factory but still not perfect. Thanks so much for comment and for watching!!!
