Element Enduro Sendero RTR - IE-RC Bed and Shock Towers

I've been running the stock RTR Enduro Sendero body and the GMADE BOM Rear cage for a while now. The stock body is now beat up and starting to fall apart. I also decided to switch up the rear setup to the IE-RC Shorty Bed.

The other cage was the same length as if I were running the stock bed. So this bed gave me a ton more clearance! I should have a running video with the new setup soon.

Old body does have a lot of character, and I by no means tossed it! I do have to do some lexan reinforcing though. When that is done, I'll give it a re-spray on the outside!

That looks really GOOD!! Definite improvement in Departure angle in the rear. 😎👍👍 Now I know why the replacement Sendero Bodies are $55... Thicker, and it NEEDED it!! I just can't afford to pay that much for a Bed I'm not going to use. Wish they just sold the Cab. I ended up with the Axial Honcho Cab and the Sendero rear Cage. The Honcho Cab is THICK! (.040") Bro, you DEFINITELY USE your Rig! That old Body was ABUSED! 😁😲😲😎 You're making me want to check out that Flat Bed. I have a Bomber interior as well as the inner fenders. I finally got around to painting the inner fenders, but I have not mounted them yet. I also have the Bomber interior... just haven't gotten around to it yet. I will soon though.

Thanks for your answer, very interesting ! What are for you the more efficient upgrades on this enduro ? How heavy are the brass ? Is it better than heavy wheels ? Especially, you tends to say that changing the shock supports (changing angle) is essential ? For me this sendero is also very nice to drive but also more capable as an improved axial scx2. Especially, the flex chassis (laterally) is one secret of its strengh....The trx4 seems to me more instable (high center of gravity). Best regards.

Adding weight to the front is the main thing I'd do for an Enduro. Allow that front to stay down to make use of the overdrive/underdrive setup. Changing the shock towers was strictly so I can get the leaned forward angle for climbs. I've since actually stiffened up my chassis with my own 3D printed mount for the IERC bed. I'd agree the TRX4 does have a higher center of gravity, and requires lowering that in order to get the best out of that chassis.

I had the same concern as you when I was first looking at getting the bed. It's made of aluminum and not steel, so it's really light. It's lighter than the GMADE BOM rear cage, Pro-Line rear cage, etc. Here's a running video at CDM kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKeopnqXi9ihr9k .

@@RevolutionX Thats good to know. I am actually a fan of the Sendero body, except for that very thin lexan. Its also good to know you can buy the stand alone cab with much thicker polycarbonate material. After seeing this I'm beginning to consider the Enduro Builders Kit, Sendero body and Utility Cage for the back. BUT the new SCX10-3 looks very appealing.

I think it depends on ever person's driving style. I happen to be one of those people that drive straight axles better than portal axles. They're both really capable rigs when pushed to the limits. Even the SCX10II is up there in capability when you optimize it. Granted the Traxxas chassis is indeed a tank in durability, but as far as capability they're the 3 of those rigs are all up there depending on how you set it up. Personally my Enduro is my most capable and favorite rig to drive, but everyone is different.

Can the shock keys be used on stock bed? How to mount the body post..i saw some pics on their website on the body post ..need to cut off from the stock shock tower

You will need to see if the shock towers are too tall for the bed. If they are, you'll need to cut a hole through the bed. If the bed still fits for the shock towers, then you will need to take the body post, and secure it through one of the shock hole positions on the shock tower using a longer screw and nut.

REVolutionX RC if the body post is higher than the shock keys then definitely the bed will fit..lol..the bed maybe sitting very high..the body post will need at least 2 screw hole to secure it properly..if just using one screw hole the body post will just turn itself even with nut..

What’s the advantage of tilting the shocks that much ?

It helps with ascents and also allows the axle to compress closer to the chassis since it doesn't bottom out as early. It also makes the chassis sit lower as well.
