I really like the Gatekeeper. It would have a ton of speed potential with some Beeftubes in the axles and maybe even the IFS in the front. Stealth X can be pretty strong with metal gears. I may actually try that after Christmas is done and over with. Good video.

For the price after you buy all the required components you could pick up an axial capra, but if you already have a bunch of extra stuff lying around like wheels etc would be good for a build. The shocks seem pretty novel, another reason to like this kit.

Awesome video as always. Have you heard or seen anything on the Gen8 v2. I only saw on there website its on there and a small video on there KZbin channel. For some reason it's pretty much impossible to get any redcat crawler here in uk, the only ones that seem available are the gen8 axe and in some places the kit version. Keep up the great work

I’m thinking about holding off until they offer it with IFS. I have a hackmoto 13t brushed motor that hauls ass and is waiting to go into something that can handle it. Cause my GELANDE II keeps breaking parts with it.

mine is arriving today.. thinking reefs 777 Holmes Puller Pro ... Castle Mamba X stuck on wheels, tires, and foams. kinda wanna go all out on this, Might do 4s. Still some questions, but I think I want that Big Reefs servo. Although I do have Brushed gear ready to go and might just toss it in there to see how it behaves. uggg, Still Don't know If I'm going to take my time or build it overnight with parts I have around and run it in the morning...

Crap, should I get a Capra kit or this kit? I like that it comes with better shocks ($80 for desert lizards all around on the Capra if you want to upgrade) and it has the nice plastics (Capra seems to need an aftermarket servo mount).

Anyone that complains about Capra's shocks just hasn't built them right using Green slime or similar.. If its the length and wanting 90mm then fair enough comment on the upgrade. I guess the main differences between both kits based on design is.. one is a real tube chassis and the other is trying to look like a tube chassis. The Gatekeeper can be re-configured to be any truck style you like, which is cool. I find with this hobby it's just easier to give in and buy every kit you like....lol. Cheers 👍

@@hillie47 too wide, DIG is useless, ugly, bad shocks, overpriced, gets owned by stock normal TRX4 and stock sport TRX4 even after you upgrade it, etc. I have two SCX10-II’s and a SCX24 but Axial is releasing some garbage with the Capra and SCX10-III. Dunno why they stopped making the Yeti.

I'm tired of these 1.9 kits I find myself going to my bomber and yeti over the scx10ii and trx4 kits.Thats why I'm building and upgrading the redcat wendigo and waiting for something new in 2.2 from axial, element, losi or rc4wd. The new gmade buffalo does interest me, especially the trans, hope u will review that one.

A quality kit, by a quality manufacturer, but IMO the proportions are off & it looks bad. It's not on my buy list. Perhaps with their IFS Trailrunner chassis we'll see a scale 2021 Bronco? That would be on my buy list 😜

I switched all the plastic to aluminium on my trailwalker, it is now very strong, super sturdy and not overly heavy. It was alot more expensive than just getting the hard plastic but I'm glad I did it that way now. I think that G.K. is begging for an axe system or something similar. Would be pretty cool to see it put a beat-down on a wendigo or something.
