When we go to Sedona, we usually stay at the Hyatt. The air conditioning issue would be a deal breaker for us. But breakfast would be very nice ,the room kitchen and the price definite pluses .
@bobbiemorton72023 ай бұрын
We are currently staying at this exact hotel.. The air conditioning is definitely a factor at 70 it is too warm and at 69 you're freezing.. The AC was making a rattling noise but I think my husband fixed it lol Really hard to find somebody at the front desk if you have an issue They do not do housekeeping while you're here only refreshing your towels and washcloths! You have to request your bed to be made.. We are on the second floor and the building is laid out in the shape of a C. The elevator near our room doesn't work so we have to walk almost the entire length of that C.. We booked through Costco travel and we called them to say that we wanted out of our booking so that called the hotel and the hotel flat out lied to them saying that there was nothing wrong with the elevator even though we have pictures of the sign on the elevator!! Side note Costco travel is iffy. This is my first time in Arizona and this is our 32nd wedding anniversary and we just wanted things to be perfect..it's far from

$20/night for parking is pretty abusive when there's no shortage of parking and you need a car to explore Sedona. And that balcony is absolutely appalling for what I'm sure is like $500+/night room in high season.

Chris- Does your DJI Pocket 3 livestream? How reliable is the product overall? THANKS

Hi Boomer.. I've never used the DJI Pocket 3 to livestream, but I know it CAN be used as a Webcam. It's very reliable for recording the stuff I do

I stayed at the Element in Burnaby (a suburb of Vancouver Canada) back in November & I have to say that I was very impressed with it. The rooms are large with a decent sized kitchen area & very comfy beds. Breakfast was good though the coffee did not taste good at all so I decided to switch to orange juice for my second plate. The location was excellent as it was only a 5 minute walk to Metrotown Mall & the SkyTrain that I took to go into downtown Vancouver for a Canucks game vs the Seattle Kraken. The only cons about my stay were the fact that the window did not close all the way (which allowed the wind to come in) & the poor quality of the wifi outside of the rooms (though in the room, the wifi worked just fine).

Thanks for the video Chris. I haven’t stayed in an Elements hotel before so it’s new for me. I like newer hotels but shocked at the mattresses and the a/c would bother me too. Otherwise, the place looked pretty nice and those things could be easily corrected. I hate the trend of charging for parking, especially in suburban areas with plenty of parking. Pet peeve along with destination fees. You sure have a cute and energetic co-host!

For my taste, it looks like a fancy motel trying desperately to pass itself as a hotel. But I suppose for the price in that location, you can’t go wrong; albeit, the AC nightmare would’ve driven me mad, too. Thanks for the review, Chris.

We stayed at an element hotel in Omaha in the winter and froze in our room. It was a corner room and the exterior walls were all glass. We could not get the room warm despite having the thermostat maxed out. Otherwise a very nice hotel and it was new when we stayed so no maintenance issues at that time

The hotel looks quite nice for the most part. I agree that they did not do the best job with the balcony there which is strange given that it is a new hotel. I remember staying at the Courtyard on the west side of town a few years ago, and it wasn't too bad. The price was similar to what you paid here.
@jameshiga80779 ай бұрын
Hi Chris. Nice hotel for the price. Would be even better if you didn't have issues with the a/c and balcony. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Im was kind of shocked by the 3.5 Tophers, but after review, yeah, those issues would bring that down. I was kind of ready to book a trip to this hotel at first glance. It has so much potential and those views and balcony (despite the shotty constuction/maintenance). Hope they fix up the place. Ill tolerate a bad AC unit for that balcony for half the cost of competing hotels.

Hey Chris, would you say it's worthwhile taking time out of a 3 weeks vacation to San Francisco to explore Seattle and Portland? I'm a European traveller and I'm familiar with SF, just don't know if the other two cities are highly regarded by Americans. Many thanks.

From now on, I'm going to make a guess for how many Topher you give the hotel before you say it just to see if I'm right. 😄I guessed right on your review on Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel. 😅 But anyhow, do you prefer shower or bathtubs in the hotel?🤔
@YellowProductions9 ай бұрын
If I only have one I prefer a shower.. it's quicker 😀
@freddiev1259 ай бұрын
It would make a great “buy & rent” property. Although I-don’t think that’s an option.

That hotel left a lot to be desired. That balcony was a mess! The stains on the mattresses…gross!
