Great overview of the new element. Can't wait to see what upgrades you do to it. 👍👍

Thanks. I have some ideas on which way I want to take this, but I want to first take it out for a test run in stock form, so that I can get a feel for the strength and weakness. The body isn't the best option for keeping the CG low, but there is something about the Sendero body that I like, so the plan is to keep it as Sendero.

Great review. That rtr is a great entry point into the hobby. I started with an under $300 Trailwalker a couple of years ago. I now have 2 Enduro based rigs, a scale trail truck and an lcg crawler. I love them.

Thanks! Yeah, Trailwalker was a great entry rig, and this will be a great replacement as the budget entry RTR. I just need to find the time to take it out and get a feel for it before I start the mods.

Just had mine out for the first time & the first thing I noticed was the esc needed to be adjusted or just replaced. The modulation wasn’t very good. But it surprised me how well it performed as far as clawing. I already have metal beadlocks on it with Proline Hyrax tires. I need to find a way to quiet the body it’s a bit loud. I have a 1080 Hobbywing esc but I also have the new Hobbywing brushless 2 in one combo so I’m probably just going to put that in it’s much cleaner also being a 2 in 1 combo. I already have the Sendero HD & a Custom Ecto chassis with a Proline 66 Chevy cab & Rock Pirates Hardline bed & shock towers. So I’m definitely a Element fan they just work well & I got this one because of the price & love the look but to upgrade it so the low price makes it appealing but ya the look & performance are very impressive at that price point & after wheeling it a bit might compare it to the Axail Deadbolt performance wise. That thing also performs well as a RTR. Looking forward to see what people do to them & what aftermarket parts will come out but a lot of the old Element parts should fit & I hear that you can just buy the front grill set & install it it comes in 3 color ways so that’s cool. I’d like to see someone do it before I do it to get a good idea but basically cut out the front & put the grill in. This should be a super fun truck.

As you stated I also found the stock ESC lacking. One of the reasons why I upgrade it right away to either HW 1080 ESC (can't beat it for the price) or brushed setup with HW Fusion (more expensive option, but well worth it). The grill is only $15 or so, is a great option if you plan to add lights. For now, I am planning to not install it as I am trying to keep the weight down low. I will be looking into which mods/upgrades, and post videos on it.

Like every choice in life, there are pros and cons... and in your case bushings sounds perfect :)

hello, whats the topspeed with stock gearing? want simething for trails but also capable of running at least at 15kph

Top speed isn't very fast for Element trucks as most or all of them are single speed transmission. I never measured the speed, but I would say it's probably ~5 to 6 mph.

- Tires "should" have been called Rib-Seekers !!! 🤔 Cuz there are "no" pins on the tires, just ribs. 🤨 ... 😆

Haha, good one. Feedback should be provided directly to Element RC.

I love element rc kits and rtrs, but this thing is so terrible. Plastic links, shocks, motor level is higher than in early versions (for example enduro kit2). But, yes, price is more democratic)) But....
@BigSungHobbies2 жыл бұрын
I plan to really dig dipper into and test it out before making judgement. As I mentioned on my video, I am ok with plastic links as I normally end up upgrading to high clearance links anyways. The motor level is slightly higher, but keep in mind that the transmission sits lower and puts the motor up front which will help with weight distribution. As for shocks, I am curious to see the longevity of it, but I really like that they added mini-t spring setup...plastic body should be slightly lighter as well. The biggest gripe that I have is the use of bushings. It wouldn't have cost that much more to include bearings, and I would have gladly pay a bit more for it. Still at $299, I think it's going to be best budget RTR out in the market.

- Yes, I agree, less weight down low, and the motor & transmission sir higher, so "why" would any RC company "do that" ? - Does not make any good sense !!! 😏
@BigSungHobbies2 жыл бұрын
@Paul Schryer Actually the Stealth XF transmission sits way lower than current Stealth X transmission. Just that the motor is sitting a bit higher, but it is way forward. In every design there are pros and cons. The new design improves two things: 1) weight forward, and 2) trans sits low enough for interior to be mounted. Also motor too low and it causes issues with upper front links. I kind of like this design over the original Stealth X, but that's my personal preference.
