Why does this not work in GA4? Having issues with tracking a form submit confirmation in wpforms using GA4 and element visibility method. It wont show, tried different IDs and classes but nothing triggers. It also does not have a different thank you page and does not show in GA4.

Hi Julian, i created the Element Visibility Trigger with an ID but "gtm.elementVisibility" does not show in the preview as you show it in your video at 6:30. Do you have any idea why it does not appear there? I have selected "Observe Dom changes" and "All visility events" and also changed the "minimum percent visible" to a minium number.

needed to load values from CSS selector variables into GA events on a page that lacked a DOM ready or click. the triggering event was a CSS change. this did the trick! element visibility for css selector on observe dom changes. amazingly sublime solution.

Is there a way to track visibility of a paginated page that doesn't reload but uses AJAX to populate data? The page structure stays the same but the element data attributes change. By the way, your content is a lifesaver. I don't know what I'd do without it. Thanks alot!

Hello buddy, is there a way you can also grab the content of the visible element, such as the text? For example, I'd like to have a element visible trigger on all error messages. I would like to use this trigger to send an event to GA which has error message seen (ie. 'password too short') as the event label.

Thanks for sharing! This is still relevant and a good way to track DOM changes if there is no other way to track form submissions or other interactions that may change the DOM after page load.

Hello, Julian. Very helpful video! I'm currently trying to only fire my GA tag when any part of the page is visible. For example, if somebody is reading a blog and decides to click on a link to my site by opening in a new tab that's not visible, I don't want the GA tag to fire until page is no longer "hidden". Does this trigger enable me to do what I'm trying to set up? Thank you in advance! Cody
