This guy is good too. But I am tired of the transition effects that Element 14s editors are using. They started that back when Ben was still around, and they look stupid. Just use a fade or wipe from left to right. Matt is a good guy.

Who's bright idea was it to use those stupid light glare effects on the video at random points? They just look like someone is waving something in front of the camera and it's distracting. Not to mention a possible trigger for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

I think they were like that before - appearing just before a transition. Now with the new videos, they seem to appear much more random and it is something I wanted to complain about.

zebilaweed It's not even a nice transition effect. I get it that it's meant to represent something about Element 14. The only good thing about Element 14 was the Ben Heck Show :/ Living in the UK I once used Element 14 (Farnel in the UK) to get some electronics. They did a good job and I was pleased with them. What changed my mind was that about a year after my first order with them I wanted to get something else from them. They stopped taking domestic orders in the UK, businesses only, so much for supporting hobbyists! Instead they tell you to use a sister site which is awful :(

No doubt! I've been annoyed with that effect since way early on, before Ben announced he was leaving. I understand that companies like to maintain style consistency, but it is very irritating.
