Preach having no CD on LB during Ascendance is EXACTLY why it's best to use it with EM and Stormlash Totem. The burst is crazy.

Another thing to take note it with reforging is rather than hit get spirit because as an elemental shaman you get elemental precision which grants hit equal to any spirit gained from items. this will help with your mana and hit rating at the same time.

totemic projection is best for elemental because it actually does increase your dps by increasing your damage up-time. for example, being able to place magma totem over by the mobs in melee range, while staying at a range, you save that movement time.

Without reforging I am way way over the hit cap but until I get more straight dps gear I still am having the most fun since the days of super hard hitting windfury damage as enhance. you were so right when you said you just get this feeling of absolutely destroying things. I know that overall we are still middle of the pack in overall dps but with more practice i can see this being my new fave for this expansion. thought I would just heal in MOP but now am pumped to try and learn this class!!

after playing enhance since tbc as my dps spec, i saw this video and respecd elemental. my main resto set is ilev475 and had read that alot of the gear is still semi viable as dps. Bought the darkmoon faire dps trinket and had to roll with the heroic 463 +800 int and on use spirit for 20 sec(cant remember the name) and jumped into LFR after 20 minutes of practice on the dummy. Had so much f'ing fun!!! was 6th in dps at 56k so didnt make a total fool of myself. Thanks for the push to change Mike!

that's true, but lava burst have a cast time so low that you can go under the GCD, in which case it's a dps loss compare to flat haste increase. Especially during Bloodlust beware of that.

if you target the dummys on the sides instead of the ones on the middle your chain lightning will hit more since it wont jump back to previous targets

They should combine totem projection and your totems into one spell. Allow you to drop your totems at any location without having to hit 2 spells, similar to healing rain.

Ascendancy doesn't give instant cast lava burst just removes cd. So it's good to use elemental mastery lava burst ascendance form

Windwalk Totem really helps out your raid, getting immune to all Snare Effects. Would actually recomend that infront of Earthgrab Totem! Just a tip.

look at the date, this is when lava bursts were instant while in Ascendance.

Lava Burst has a Global Cooldown, so reducing the cast time further below 1.5 seconds isn't going to amount to a DPS increase.

for the glyphs it should be flame shock,unleashed lightning(for movement intensive fights it is a dps increase) and chain lightning and for talents its Echo of the elements not haste

Here's an awesome Elemental Shaman CD macro: /cast Ascendance /cast Spiritwlaker's Grace /cast Elemental Mastery (Talent) /cast Berserking (Racial) /cast Fire Elemental Totem /use Potion of The Jade Serpent The maximum cooldown is three minutes :)

if i may give some advice: use totemic projection to get the magma totem in to the group of mobs this saves some time spent running in and out again. very simple macro for it btw : /cast Magma Totem /cast Totemic Projection

3:05 I thought that Haste lowers the cast time on a spell not cooldown reduction, When bloodlust and Elemental mastery and ascendance are on at the same time and you have a nice amount of haste lava burst's cast time is reduced making you get a lot more shots off while in ascendance.

Haste deals with cooldowns and cast time if I remember correctly. I have Haste on my Prot pally, and it deals with CD. The hast on my Priest deals with both the cast time and CD of spells. All around, its a bad ass stat to have.

I'm at ilvl 499 and my burst is easily 200-250k depending on procs and my sustained is around 100-150k, again depending on procs. 40-60k at ilvl 481? You must be doing something wrong, and don't instantly put it down to gear. A difference of 18-40+ ilvl will not give you the dps you're lacking. Ele isn't breaking the meter atm, as Preach said in his 'Should you Roll A: Elemental Shaman' vid, the spec is middle of the road. Its a very consistant spec and able to pull of some nice burst.

atm Echo of elements gives you the higher DPS. However, where there is multiple burnphases like let's say Leishen, EM is stronger.

Unleashed Fury is subpar atm, not severely but it isn't as good as ele blast. In addition, Elemental Blast looks awesome and is much more fun than a static 30% dmg to LB. Next patch, it's looking to be better though.

Hmm I disagree very much with your choice of tier 5 talent. I did some testing on AG and HTT. Think my HTT did 30k per heal which x5 targets is a 150k heal x 7-9 ticks based on haste ending on about 1,2 mill healing at 8 ticks. AG does 40 of damage done and at this point i did roughly 110k dps during normal rotations, nothing but base procs. 40% is 44k on 3 targets which is 132k hps on 10 secs that is 1,32 mill. which means more healing + IT'S OFF GCD! You can use it without stopping dps at all!

150k during whole fight? And not just while bursting? 150k sustained after burst, then you must have like 520+ ilvl. my shaman is 481 ilvl and is only pulling out 40-60k single target and my rogue does 110-130k sustained after burst and about 300k+ in burst so it feels pretty weak to me, and on 5.4 PTR i did about 100k single target dps on dummie with 527 ilvl while my 517 rogue does 110-130k

No it doesnt your mastery does the same exact thing as echo of elements so the chance of you getting a triple proc is really terrible plus if you have low mastery its even worse. Rather have decent mastery AND haste so i can cast faster and most of the time get a mastery proc with fast casts.

Preach, ofc you macro Elemental mastery with ascendence. whats more i macro it with spirytwalker grace so that i dont loose even one cast due to moving out of danger. no cd means no cd not becomes instant cast :) 30% haste will make you cast so much more no cd lava burst's than without it.

Hi maatar elemental shaman, sargeras. Gifting a 50$ steam card for some help: I Am having great difficulty with my elemental shaman, right now i am pulling 90k single target in i level 514 gear, if pop ascendance (after casting flame shock lava burst and elemental blast of course) i pull a max of 110k this is debilitating, most of my raid leaders say i should be doing 140k minimum single target, if someone fixes this for me i will give you a steam card,
