At 3:22 I can't hear you pronouncing "have" after "we would've like to...". It sounds like "we would've like to met" but something says me that's wrong.

I think She's pronouncing something like "to've", but it is pretty fast.

Thank you so much for your helpful videos, ElementalEnglish . However, in this video I think the first example is not correct. "I would've gone shopping if I didn't have so much homework to finish". I think it should be "I would've gone shopping if I hadn't had so much homework to finish". Please check it for me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

+Lan Nguyen I'm sorry I didn't see this comment sooner! Great question! Although you are grammatically correct, in everyday life, most people wouldn't say "hadn't had". In everyday, casual English speech, a native US English speaker would say "didn't" as I said it in the example. The grammatically correct version is a bit more formal. It's a good example of how grammar rules transform and stretch in real life examples. Perhaps some British or other English speakers can tell us if the same change applies in their English?

Ni Larissa. Excume but I think that the frase: I would've gone shopping if I dindn't have so much homework to finish is wrong. I suppose is: I would've gone shopping if I wouldn't had so much homework to finish. Please, I don't know if I'm confuse.
