Shane was my best friend in the world for 10 years. Sadly, he took his own life on January 29th, 2021 after some of the struggles in his personal life became too much for him. Every once in a while I come back to this video so I can still see and listen to my friend. He was a brilliant, kind human being, and it does my heart good to see so many people in the comments recognizing how amazing he was. The world is a far poorer, darker place now that he's not in it. It's hard to believe it's been three years. I'll always remember him as the best friend and mentor I ever had. Miss you, Shane.

I am so very sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you and all of his loved ones. He seemed like a very honorable, caring man. I've been suicidal before. It's a horrible headspace to be trapped in. I am sorry that is the way his life ended, but may his words and actions shown here and to the children be an inspiration to all of us. It seems to me that someone didn't like you adding "happy holidays" however, your words included GOD BLESS which gives GLORY to GOD and you used the word JOYOUS, which you and I both know, JOY only comes from CHRIST! Shane was a childhood friend of all my brothers in Northern Utah. And vicariously mine too. I have a lot of memories of Shane. Tragically, Shane died by suicide not too long after this. He was a very good man, and left behind a very good family.
