Question: Wouldn't cutting windows and doors after the pour speed things up and made it easier??? With those modern saws I have seen, the cuts should be a breeze.

@all3pools Those diamond chain saws are like $500 from China. More, if you cut 3-6hrs after pour, concrete is like butter. Imagine the time and money you save. Plenty of videos on KZbin cutting up 9" or more concrete walls.

How is the pricing on the new Element ICF Block compared to the Fox Blocks? Less or more expensive?

How are you applying the Tremco 160? Do you know if the Tremco 160 is any better or worse than Rub-R-Wall Aqua? Nice work! The build is coming along well. I poured our basement slab yesterday. 32 yards of concrete.

We're on the west coast. Been having a really hard time getting pricing and ordering the blocks. We're doing a large 5,000 basement.

Any concerns for termites with these virgin EPS blocks versus EPS-crete blocks like Perfect Block?

I’d love to see rhino form but I know panels are made per specs not something that can be shelf stocked like blocks

your overview of Perfect Block should be interesting. there's a GC i've been learning from, as he was a teacher & has that communication skill, but he's kinda oldschool in building science... repeatedly says Omni-Block doesn't have thermal bridging, when it obviously/objectively does. many years ago, when i was lookin for the best envelope solution, i wanted to like those dry-stack options due to fire resistance. but they simply have too many drawbacks, esp from a DIY and/or performance perspective. anyway, have a great week!
