Some people dislike Damon, but he ironically started off as the “good” vampire while Stephen was the debaucherous, ripper type. Then Stephen found Lexi, and Damon turned his humanity off, and their personalities nearly switched. But arguably both have a checkered past, and I would’ve honestly been fine if this was the series finale. Damon and Elena finally together, and Stephen accepting the inevitable, while also embracing a life of possibility on the open road.

@@ElisabeteMarques-oe1zk Stefan actually apologized to Elena for that. Unlike Damon he never apologizes for the things he does. All he says is “I’m selfish”. That’s what makes Stefan different from Damon. Stefan feels guilt and remorse for his actions and actually apologize. Whereas Damon doesn’t do any of that.

​​@@sweetgemcollector Damon doesn't have his emotions turned on (so he doesn't feel anything) that will only happen in season 8, when Sybil turns them on. and Damon once told Elena (2×12) that he felt, and it was crap, when Rose died. all because Elena told him to show what she was feeling, and every time he tried to show that he cared, he got "kicks" from her. Damon apologized to Elena for what he did in season 2 episode 21 when he gave her his blood, but then Elena said she needed time, and she probably only "forgave" him because she knew he was dying. o Damon não tem as suas emoções ligadas.(logo não sente nada) isso só vai acontecer na 8ª temporada, quando a Sybil as ligar. e o Damon disse uma vez(2×12) a Elena que sentia, e era uma porcaria, a quando a morte da Rose. tudo porque a Elena disse para ele mostra o que estava a sentir, e sempre que ele tentava mostra que se importava, levava"patadas" dela. o Damon pediu desculpa a Elena, pelo que fez no episódio 21 da 2ªtemporada, quando lhe deu o seu sangue. mas depois a Elena disse que precisava de tempo, e com certeza ela só o "perdoou" porque soube que ele estava a morrer

What part didn't make sense? That she choose, out of free will, not because of a spell? That she chose someone she has a great deal in common, someone that stood by her through out everything, that loved her no matter what, unconditionally, that treat her like a equal, like a woman, that never lie to her, that waited for her to realise, who she was and who she wanted in her own terms, and in her own time. Because she choose someone that is so compatible with her that even when she erased the memory of him, because he is what she wants preciselly, she fell in love with him all over again. Because he is charming, brutally honest, loyal, selfless and everybody loves him, Stefan, Alaric, Liz, Carol, Bonnie, Jeremy; because he is commited to love like nobody else. Because they have the same level of sexual intensity, because he never was a lap dog to her like Stefan, stood up to her when he tought she was making dumb decisions, showing her self respect, because he loved her enough to fight for her even agaist her self distructed period of surviviour guilt. Because he challanges her, make her happy, alive, he knows how to relax her. Stefan like Matt was just a passage to get to Damon, her true love. It's very clear, don't need to be a genius to realise, that assuming you have a level of normal fuctional cognition.

WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! the sirebond was broken by this point and she chose him because she loves him, it's real!! clearly you missed the part where everyone accused her of having feelings for him in s3 and it was confirmed she fell in love with him in s3 before she turned and before she was sired!! also he never told her to kiss him or have sex with him or break up with stefan, in fact he tried to fix their relationship, he also never told her to be with him in any way that was all her!! and in 4x09 he told her to leave and to be free and she still chose to tell him she loves him something else he never told her to do, say ily!! and julie even said it didn't affect emotions or sex so delena was real and she loved him way more than she ever loved stefan so yeah nice try!!! you wanna talk trash about delena, well stelena were literally programmed to fall in love with each other, something that was start with a betrayal and it was a curse whereas delena it was created by her love for him! delena is the true love story here!
