You're right she's a smart gorgeous girl with a cute accent. Not sure but she sounds French. Very sweet girl and humble in defeat and she can strike a mean ball. She can really push both Iga and Saba and honestly she should have won this. Not sure what happened. When you're up a set and a break it should be a slam dunk. She will be a future multiple Grand Slam champion and number 1 for sure because she can still get better whereas Iga and Saba has hit their peak skill level now and can't get much better.

Swiatek will win. I don't favor either one of them personally but there's a reason Swiatek has multiple slams compared to Sabalenka's one. Firepower is critical and they both have it, but mental fortitude is just as important. Iga has more of that.

Лена нельзя топовой теннисистке так просто растрачивать выигрышные матчи. Их надо уметь доводить до победы. Нужно быть больше агрессивней, больше оказывать давления на соперниц. I'm sorry for Rybakina for her loss. But overall, she is still the best women tennis player.... no crying over defeats, no over reacting on victories. She is the most lovable girl here. Sabalenka is likely the most aggressive of the lot. But her loud screaming terrifies me! Iga may be officially number 1 right now due to their ranking policy, but for me Rybakina is number 1. Iga seems to be always worried about losing.

The reason her level dropped was that her coach needs to learn to take a breath now and then. She was doing fine in the first set so he should have let her just carry on as she was instead of jabbering on constantly. He did Elena no favours at all.

It's a good idea to come in to the net when you have a good volley game, but Sabalenka doesn't really give you the chance to do that much at all. It's not like playing Jabeur, Muchova, or Svitolina.

This was tough, even for me just a fan, painful. You needed to finish it it 2 sets. What annoys me is the better player lost, and now the girl with the silly cap will probably win the final. Its good you get some rest for Rome. Rest well ❤

bruh shut up she had a tough draw she had hardly played putintseva and iga had one of the easier draws i still feel she fought well thats all that matters she has had wonderful 2024 her win loss record is 30/35 wins only 5 losses and she has also won stuttgart if she takes a break from rome open temporarily its better as she will get tired or else so i think she needs good rest to take french open stop crying i understand it feels bad i might sound rude but i feel she can do well in french open if she goes by my suggestion

It is the exact opposite actually. This scenario only happened becouse rybakina is no 4 at the moment. When she was no 3 it was iga who had constant meet ups with her. And we all know she will reconquer no 3 in no time, so it is rank 1 that is more difficult to hold. Not to mention everybody , even under rank 50 wants to play their best game against no 1.

It seems the tournament was rigged to weaken the rival of Iga in final, but maybe it is only for the rankings, number 1 gets a better draw.

🤦 Let me rephrase it again: No 1 gets no 3 and no 2 gets no 4 in their respective semifinals (in theory of course, they have to win all other matches first). So it ain't Iga's fault that Gauff overtook Rybakina in rankings. Before that, when Elena was no 3, it was Iga that frequently had to battle Rybakina. And since Gauff is still not on the level of Iga, Saba and Ryba; it is only a matter of time for iga to have to battle Rybakina frequently again, when Elena retakes no 3 position.

In other sports like in the NBA #1 at all times plays #4, and #2 at all time plays #3 so that the top ranked opponent always plays the lesser ranked of 2 opponents as reward for having performed better thus far. In tennis, we have the draw which determines where the other players are bracketed with respect to #1 and #2 who head the top and bottom half of the field, respectively. In this setup, only the #1 and #2 players never play before the final. #3 to the last seed can fall anywhere under #1 and #2 so nothing is set in stone. That's why we always hear comments like this player is unlucky because she's drawn with this player who she has never beaten, etc. The draw is a matter of luck. For example, in Stuttgart #4 Elena was drawn under #1 Iga's half so they played in the semifinals. But in Madrid, #4 Elena was drawn under #2 Sabalenka's half, so it was Elena vs Aryna in the semifinals. In Rome, Elena was drawn under Sabalenka's bracket again, so Iga will only play against Elena in the final if both of them make it that far.

Смотрю все игры Лены второй год, определённо есть много улучшений в ее игре даже по сравнению с прошлым годом. Но что я заметила, в критических важных моментах, будь это сет или матч поинт или даже просто почти брейк на подаче соперницы - когда начинается «качели», она никогда не может довести до конца и взять очко! Брейки чаще всего не делаются в этот момент, либо для осуществления матч или сет Болла ей необходимы 3-4 попытки! Это точно тот момент, который надо улучшать. Что это, возможно эмоции или психологически что-то, но Лена не может додавить соперника в этот момент, максимально собраться и сконцентрироваться и забрать такое важное очко! Это случилось и вчера, при счете 5:4 две попытки у нее были завершить матч победой, и две глупые ошибки все испортили. 😓😢

It almost seems to me that Elena subconsciously dropped her level so her opponent(s) would not be too embarrassed. Elena did that against Putintseva (and countless others) from the start, and she obviously did that again with Sabalenka starting in the 2nd set. Of course this opinion is my private view, and I am a Rybakina fan no matter what. I just hope someone will point out to Elena the fact that neither Sabalenka or Swiatek has any worries of embarrassing their opponents. Being a sweetheart to your opponent is deadly and bordering on being unprofessional. Bring your best game and take out your opponents as quickly as possible is the ultimate form of respect in sports.
