She has just beaten Swiatek twice the World No 1. In the final against at Indian Wells 2023 against her new nemesis Sabalenka. Coach is only guilty of being too passionate about his charge and certainly not a bully from what I can see. They have trust in each other I think.

This is a good coach. I'm not sure what people's issues are with him. He is respectful and offers criticism as he should! There are surely coaches that are way more harsh but they think because Elena is a woman that she needs to be treated differently. If Elena is happy with him then who cares what anyone else says. I don't think coaching during matches should be allowed, it does more harm than good. There's nothing they can tell them during the match that they can't tell them before the match, all this does is stress the player out when she's trying to deal with the unfolding situation already she doesn't need additional pressure to perform. They rely too heavily on someone telling them what to do rather than thinking for themselves.

There are so many variables in Tennis, I see the coach cluttering her mind during the heat of the moment. I think his timing is bad in front of the camera to do this. Chemistry with her I don’t think so.He wants to show he’s in control a little to much which affects the bottom line plus other things I see.. I think he’s a good correctional coach and knows the game of Tennis .I believe he’s for her and can also help her however to beat the top quality players in the world takes great teaching and correctional coaching but intelligence outside of coaching to strategically beat your top competition is different in its self. Much more but will leave it at this.

Some people might see his coaching as abusive,some may not.Its down to your perspective on how we should behave towards one another.I am sure that many of the male coaches are the same(Why are there no Women coaches?).Of course the relationship is also a financial agreement the women doesn’t win then less pay for the coach. And he doesn't seem like the world's greatest listener. But anyway, if she feels good with him, and keeps getting better ... good luck to them both.
