i don’t usually comment, but I really appreciate your transparency with the body image topic. I’ve been pretty consistently strength training for about 5 years now and have only very recently noticed small physical changes. It can get really frustrating but just remember it’s a lifestyle and we’re here for the long run, and that we’ll always remember more how we felt than how we looked at any given time in life. Idk if that made sense (im a bit stoned lmao), but thank you 💕

Hey Elena, thinks for talking about your body image issues. I struggle with my body image so very much, also been going to therapy, and it is so exhausting. Hearing you chat about it so openly makes me feel less odd. I think you’re stunning, and if you feel the same way I do, then it really won’t matter what I look like - it is just mental. My therapist taught me the idea of “good enough” and that has really helped me accept my body. Not striving for unrealistic perfection but being grateful for good enough. I hope you find freedom from the mental battle. Sending you love!

Please don’t worry about who you are, what you look like, how far ahead you are in your career, etc. I’m in my mid-40s and I often look back on my 20s, and think about all of the blessings and excitement that youth provides. Then, I think about whether I was appreciating them at that point. And I wasn’t - I was stressing out about school, relationships, my body, etc. It was a waste. Just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! You have decades more of changes in setting, changes in style, changes in career path, changes in friendships, changes in the wider world, changes in perspective to experience. Don’t waste it by paying attention to the wrong things. Btw, you are a beautiful woman with a really unique sense of style, fun taste in music, interesting things to say, and courage to move to NY and make this happen.

Started watching as inspiration for my college years back in the beach era, and now can relate so much to what you said about timelines. I'm 20 and about to graduate college and have always felt either ahead or behind my peers, as many of my friends are older than me but have more school left to complete. Thank you so much for always validating what I'm going through and inspiring me to take the leap (you helped me make the decision to take a gap year to travel Europe!). Your videos have always felt like a big sister video diary and I'm so grateful

This is so crazy! You are literally (for a lack of better words) my "body goals" so it's so crazy to hear that you also compare yourself to others. Obviously I know that almost every has body image issues but this just reminds me that I need to just start accepting my body for where it is right now. Maybe it will change in the future and maybe it won't but I'm grateful for all that it's done for me :)

I also loved what you said about how as we get older and go through different phases of our lives our bodies will change and that is a good thing! I've been here since I found one of your videos while you lived in the San DIego little beach hut and had the avocado tree! Loved those vibes and love these vibes. I graduated 2020 during the pandemic and I had a whole year of job searching and struggling to figure out that "what is my value now without a job" ended up in a restaurant cashier job that treated me horrible at the height of the pandemic and burnt me out beyond compare. Now I am finally trying to heal myself from the toxic "must work to have value" and am trying to start from the beginning again. It's so comforting to me in some way to know that no one else knows what they are doing, and anyone who seems successful may also be struggling to figure out what they are doing. I just hope to be financially stable for my self soon! Keep killing it!

Hi, just wanted to say thank you for your honesty and transparency - these conversations are more valuable to viewers than portraying a perfect image or perfect life on the internet. As to your thoughts towards the end, I am 26 and currently going to therapy for that 'weird phase' in life where the internet actually plays a bigger role to anxiety than some might think. But it's been good to slow down and focus purely on me and my happiness. In the end that's all you need.

I empathise with your body image struggles so much. You talk about your body not having changed physically, or as you put it, aesthetically since your first F45 video, and how you find that disheartening! However, I would like to suggest a shift in perspective- basing your indication of success on how much your body has changed in appearance can often be incredibly frustrating and not show many results. Instead, ask yourself this- are you able to do more reps, work out longer, lift heavier, get fatigued less easily since the last video? I would assume so! Thinking about your body in terms of how much you’ve advanced in strength and physical health is a lot more fulfilling than focusing on external appearance and aesthetics. You’re doing amazing!

Some little help for the words you were struggling with: Retourner = mostly used to explain that you're turning something over "je retourne un livre/un matelas..." + used when you return to a place you've already been but not for a long time Revenir = used for "smaller distance" if I can say that.. we often say "reviens!" to say "come back!" when talking directly to someone Rentrer = strictly used when talking about home or when you're getting inside some place ("je rentre dans le musée" = "I'm getting in the museum") Rendre = to return something OR "se rendre quelque part" means "to go somewhere" Idk if this helped haha
