Money management strategy that's been working for me lately ~~ whatever is left over after I contribute to my 401K, I have my employer split my paycheck into 2 checking accounts (which are connected to the same bank where my CC is). The percentage of these 2 splits coincides with the budget I've created for my bills and what I call "fun money" (anything that is non-essential). Having the two accounts as a visual REALLY helps me understand my cash flow month-to-month for various spend categories. It was also really easy to open a second checking account with my bank -- I feel much more empowered in my finances lately!

Save for a rainy day, if you never believed in this concept; this pandemic is your lesson. No one says not to live your life, but also focus on your finances. Early planning and learning can get you early retired. But learn this stuff yourself and don't rely on the industry to take care of your money.

Social work input here- while I super love the way you make financing incredibly accessible to your audience, I think it's important to add disclaimers in these videos that a lot of money-related problems in the US are related to the increasing wealth gap and increasing amount of Americans falling into poverty. I think a disclaimer would help your lower-income audience feel more included and listened to, and because you have such a big audience, it might make wealthier fans more aware of problems in the US to focus on/ donate towards/ vote towards.

My personal top 5 tips for saving are- Going off social media and shopping platforms when you need to be more restricted with money or even trying to save up. Go to the cheapest grocery store rather then the nicer ones. Has a very big impact when it comes adding up the price gaps. Idk about where you are from but here public transportation is huge. Its a great way to reduce your carbon emissions and it saves a LOT of money!!! Try eating out less or cut it out completely and recreate your fave foods at home with friends- fun, social and saves alot. Prep you meals and drinks for your days in advance so you know you dont need to buy a snack, meal ir even a drink when you already have it.

But my broke college student self cries when I realize how much I spent. I rationalize by saying good quality will last longer than a $5 item from Target, but that doesn't change the fact that an unnecessary chunk of my money is missing right now.
