Elephant crossing through broken wall blocking the route at Deopahar, Kaziranga

Blocking the elephants traditional route, Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. constructed this wall, illegally, enclosing the site earmarked now for a golf course within the Deopahar forests that acts as an important corridor connecting the Kaziranga and the Karbi Anglong landscapes. This has already resulted in the deaths of three elephants. The video clip shows one of the elephants, regular visitors to the area, walking among the ruins in fear and also crossing the wall through a broken portion.
